Dr. Amaya and his family are big dog lovers. Between his parents and two brothers they have 8 pups! Maggie is the youngest of the bunch. She will be 1 in February and is the sweetest little thing. Because of her calm and gentle nature, Maggie is being trained to be a therapy dog. We are hoping she will be able to help some patients that experience dental anxiety, Dr. Amaya explained. Make sure and follow all of Maggies adventures!
Dr. Amaya is committed to providing gentle and affordable dental care to the whole family. Having been a practicing dentist for 10 years, him and his staff are highly knowledgeable and will make sure all their patients are treated with the same care he would provide his own family. Dr. Amaya graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and is a member of the Oklahoma Dental Association. Along with being active in his community, he also strives to keep up with the latest in dental technology.
Shannon is a Dental Hygienist and graduated from the dental hygiene program at Rose State College in 2010. Shannon is an excellent hygienist and loves taking care of each person that comes into our office. Our patients enjoy her outgoing personality and her passion for her profession. She has four beautiful children as well as four beautiful grandchildren. Shannon and her husband, Rodney, enjoy fishing, camping and OU Football.
Stephanie grew up in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. With many years experience in the dental field she has acquired a wealth of knowledge in the constant evolution of procedures. Stephanie is an amazing Dental Assistant and great with patients of all ages, putting them at ease every step of the way. She stays busy with her sweet children and husband. She loves the lake, traveling and Thunder Basketball.

Highly highly recommend Dr. Amaya for your dental needs. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! Literally hands down the best dentist I have ever had. I have been with him for about 10 years now. I don't care how far I have to drive I'm going to Dr. Amaya and his team for my dental needs.

I am a new patient, I had a filling that came out and the tooth had chipped. they got me in on the next business day. The staff was very professional and friendly. Brent was very nice, he got me fixed up and out of there very quickly. I look forward to having my smile taken care of from Modern Dental.

Dr Amaya appears to be a good dentist. I haven't had any work done by him except for getting aligners. One negative that can easily get resolved is communicating. I have to ask all the questions and lots of phone calls to his assistant to fill in the blanks. So if you see Dr Amaya, make your list of concerns prior to visit so you can have peace of mind. Fast forward March 2022 Just had my first cleaning and dr Amaya's hygienist was professional, thorough, & informative giving me plenty of pointers on how to keep my teeth the best going forward. Dr Amaya checked her work and was also thorough and professional. They're keepers! Fast forward to 8/18/22. Aligners worked great. Get permanent retainers in about a week and a half. Very pleased with follow through, expertise and professionalism.

I was explained what to expect. My experience was extremely pleasant from my arrival to the end. There's no pain, as the nurses and Dr. Amaya make your visit comfortable. I highly recommend Modern Dental for all ages.

Really good experience and pain free! It's a modern, clean space, and comfortable. There was no waiting- just checked in and went back. The hygienist is friendly and very good at what she does. The dentist was also friendly and competent.I highly recommend them.
