Mark J. Kaip, D.D.S. Dr. Mark J. Kaip graduated from College of Southern Idaho in 1993 with an Associate of Arts degree. While there, he played baseball for the Golden Eagles. In 1996, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology, with a minor in Biology, from the University of Idaho. He later attended Indiana University where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001.
Dr. Kaip is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and the Multnomah Dental Society. He has taken many continuing education classes that have an emphasis on conservative dentistry. One of his prestigious achievements is having been selected by his peers as one of Portlands Top Dentists in 2008, 2009, 2016, 2017, 2018 and most recently, 2019..This was published in Portland Monthly Magazine.
Dr. Kaip is married to his wife, Meghan, and they have a beautiful daughter named Abbey. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys running, skiing and golfing. On most weekends, you will find Dr. Kaip and Meghan at the soccer field or basketball court watching Abbey.
Dr. Alyse D'Ambrosia, D.M.D. Dr. Alyse D'Ambrosia graduated from University of Nevada Reno with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences and was recognized as student of the year from UNRs College of Agriculture, Biotechnology & Natural Resources. After moving to Portland, she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University in 2013.
Dr. D'Ambrosia is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association and Multnomah Dental Society. In 2015, she joined the ADA Success Program and has spent time traveling and giving presentations at dental schools around the country. Dr.D'Ambrosia takes pride in her ability to relate to her patients and make them feel comfortable during their dental visits.
Dr. D'Ambrosia enjoys the many opportunities for culture and recreation throughout the Pacific NW. She and herhusband, Steve, love to explore thePortland food scene and attempt to recreate some of these masterpieces together at home. They love to spend time together outdoors with their two dogs, George and Nola. Once the dogs are tired out, they enjoy sneaking away for some of their favoriteactivities: skiing, snowboarding, kayaking, and jet skiing. Together they are avid sports fans and love cheering on their favorite Portland's teams. Go Timbers, Thorns and Blazers!
Kathi Office Coordinator Kathi has been employed at MK Distinctive Dentistry since April 2000; having worked in dentistry for over 20 years. She is married and has two adult sons and two beautiful grandchildren. Kathi enjoys spending time with her family and boating in the summers.
Amy Amy joined the MK Distinctive Dentistry team in June of 2021. She loves to create a warm and comfortable environment for everyone she meets. When not at work you can find her exploring the outdoors with her husky, curled up with a book, learning her next craft, or seeking inspiration in food, music, and art.
Lynn Lynn joined MK Distinctive Dentistry in October 2020. She has been working in dentistry for 28 years, the last 21 years specializing in dental insurance, patient relations, and office operations. She enjoys the relationships she has developed over the years working in this field. Lynn has two children and enjoys exploring sunny destinations with her friends and family. The beach is her happy place.
Rebecca Rebecca has been with MK Distinctive Dentistry since August 2020. Serving our patients with warm hospitality and working with a team that strives to deliver excellent dental care through integrity and compassion is her favorite thing about working here. When not at the office, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, spur of the moment road trips, kayaking, hiking and using any excuse to be outside.
Patty Patty joined the MK Distinctive Dentistry team in 2013. She has a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Oregon State University. Patty is married and has two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing pickleball, hiking and reading.
Stephanie Stephanie has been a hygienist since 2005, prior to which she was a dental assistant for 12 years. Stephanie strives to provide excellent patient care in a comfortable, safe environment. Her free time includes gardening, dancing, DIY projects, enjoying her three dogs and escaping to the beach with her husband whenever possible.
Jennifer Jennifer received a Bachelor degree from Oregon Institute of Technology in 2001 and has been practicing dental hygiene since. Jennifer enjoys her profession and strives for excellence in patient relations and dental care. Outside of the office, Jennifer spends time with her two daughters. She enjoys being active, gardening, cooking and exploring the outdoors.
Haley Haley has been with MK Distinctive Dentistry since September of 2021. She loves building relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their individual dental goals. When she is not with our office, she splits her time between teaching dental hygiene for Pacific University and teaching ballroom dancing. She also loves discovering new places to eat around town and spending time with family and friends.
Elvia Elvia has been a dental assistant since 2012 and is EFDA certified. She enjoys the field of dentistry because of the interpersonal connections with patients while advocating for their overall health. On the weekends, Elvia enjoys exploring the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest with her husband and basset hound.
Sandy Sandy joined our team at MK Distinctive Dentistry in 2014. She has been a dental assistant since 2004. Sandy is EFDA certified. She is married and has two boys. In her spare time, she enjoys time with family and friends.
Noelle Noelle is new to the field of dentistry and is loving it. When shes not at the office sterilizing rooms and keeping things tidy, she enjoys home renovation, interior design, cooking, and doing all of these things with her wonderful husband.
