A pediatric dentist is the specialist who is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teenage years. Our goal at Mitten Kids Dentistry is to see every child by age 1. Here, they will learn that regular checkups rate somewhere between going to the beach and birthday parties! We teach children with a method called tell-show-do. We are honest with our young patients, instilling trust between our doctors, our experience team, and your child. This gives your child a vested interest in their own oral health, which we think is quite important. Oh, and if your child is a year and a half, 3 years, or older, no worries! Its never too late to get started. We love children of all ages.
We believe communication between doctor, staff, parents, and children is essential. Were always here to answer your questions. Ask away, anything is fair game! Whether its related to your childs growth and development, if they need braces, if they have cavities, why they get cavities, or why Dr. Brett, Dr. Grady, and Dr. Alex are the best pediatric dentists, well do our best to deliver the answers in an easy, fun, simple, and positive manner.
We pride ourselves in being able to serve any child, no matter their needs. Medically compromised? Special needs? Scared of the dentist or new places? Doesnt matter. Well work with you and your child to deliver the best care.
Well get together at least every 6 months to make sure your child is staying healthy. Oh, and dont be at all surprised if your child starts looking forward to dental check upscrazier things have happened!

My kids don't like going to the dentist at all but they loved going here today my son keeps asking when he gets to go back there... Everyone there made my whole family fell welcomed and kept us posted on everything they was doing with our kids and even kept coming in to check on us well we waited for the doctor to come in... Best dentist my kids have ever been to...

Everyone is so nice! The office is VERY clean and nice. Great atmosphere for the kids. They were very comfortable there. There's a Keurig, coffee and creamers for the adults. Their equipment is much more up to date than any other office we've been to. The x-rays were very easy for the kids. They explained everything in depth and it was easy to understand. The kids got new toothbrushes, toothpaste, flossers and got to each choose a prize. They'll be doing all their dental work at once while under anesthesia which us parents are looking forward to. So much easier for the kids and us since we don't have to go to a bunch of different appointments that are scheduled way far apart. Very convenient. Very happy with this place!

I feel singled out, and discriminated against. My family catches COVID around the time of my son's appointment, this office was quick to dismiss BOTH my children without caring to hear my side of things. They broke into legal jargon and workaround words to explain they did everything they could. They really did not. The doctor dismissed both my kids without hesitation, and from prior encounters with staff this helps me confirm they are discriminatory and only "flexible" to select patients with higher incomes and better insurance policies.

My son has a sensory disorder and all the staff took their time explaining everything to me and my son. Best dentist experience he's ever had. He even asked if he could go back.

I absolutely love this place for my 6yr old son Jace...They're super friendly and very good with children...He's very comfortable going back by himself with out being accompanied by his Mom...Thank you to the Staff for The Great Job!!!!

We had an amazing experience at Mitten Kids! My daughter (4 months) had a tongue and lip tie that was affecting feeding. Even though we live 4.5 hours away, our lactation consultant recommended we make the trip. We are SO glad that we did. The staff was so nice and helpful, including the person who checked us in, the dental assistant (Shary?), Dr. Kingma, and the person who checked us out. The check in process was very efficient due to filling out forms prior to arrival. The dental assistant and Dr. Kingma were very thorough in what was to be expected during the consultation and procedure. They explained everything in detail and assured us they would be available if we needed to contact them. They were so great with my daughter and we're able to keep her pretty calm during the assessment and after the procedure. And the check out person was very helpful in getting us paperwork for reimbursement purposes. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this clinic, and I could not recommend them enough!!

Due to unforseen circumstances, I had to cancel my long awaited appointments. The staff and doctor were very accommodating and kind. They went above and beyond to try to make it work. Though we have not yet met in person, I can tell this is an office that is worth driving 2.5 hours to.

I was blown away by the warmth and compassion of the staff at Mitten Kids. Our dental hygienist, Sydney, and Dr. Grady went above and beyond to answer our questions regarding our newborn's frenectomy. We felt our daughter was in expert hands. Even though we live an hour away, we will be making the switch to Mitten Kids for our children's dental care! Thank you again to the amazing staff!

5 stars are not enough! My daughter just had a frenotomy procedure done with Dr. Brett and his assistant Jess. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we stepped back outside we were shown the best care and utmost respect. They are professional, patient, and so very kind. The atmosphere is also beautiful and very kid-friendly! I highly recommend Mitten Kids Dentistry!
