Dr. Mitchell received his education from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Upon graduation from MUSC in 1990 with his Doctor of Medicine, Dentistry degree, Dr. Mitchell and his wife Suzy moved to Monticello. Jamie joined the practice of Dr. Tom Brady in July of 1990. The two dentists, who are dear friends, practiced together for six years before Dr. Brady retired in 1996. During their years in Monticello, Dr. Mitchell and Suzy have raised two children, Matthew and Laura, and have been active in their children's participation in school, band, and sports. The Mitchells are members of Monticello Presbyterian Church and are always working to find the path of faith that God is leading them on. That path has led them to Honduras where they worked together to provide dentistry to the people of the village of Cedros and to Mexico where they built houses. In his spare time, Dr. Mitchell enjoys yard work, carpentry, a little golf, and as much flats fishing as his busy schedule allows. The Mitchells can also be found reading on the beach in Amelia Island, Florida. Professionally, Dr. Mitchell is a member of the American Dental Society and the Georgia Dental Association. Dr. Mitchell is currently serving as the Editor of the Georgia Dental Association. He is passionate about maintaining the integrity of dentistry provided in Georgia. That passion led him to being named an Honorable Fellow in the GDA and to be invited to participate in the Georgia Academy of Dental Practice.

Dr. Lipham is amazing! He and Emily are very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! I must say the first painless trip to the dentist I've ever had! I thought I was there for extraction but he saved my tooth. Just a nice experience from the time I walked in the door!

Doctor Michelle is the best Dentist that I found by far. The entire stuff are profesional and treat you with respect. He was highly recommended by a friend when I needed it the most and now I would like to recommend him and his practice to you. :)

I had a tooth that needed to be pulled. My normal dentist office was not able to fit me in for 3 weeks since my regular dentist had moved and no other dentist in the office were taking on "new patients". Even though I have been a patient of that office since I was 4. The pain was excruciating, so I was calling dentist all over. I called Dr. Mitchell's office as soon as they opened, and they were able to see me that day within the hour. The newest Dr. (I believe his name was Tyler) to the practice performed the extraction, and I couldn't have been more pleased. I was a ball of nerves, but he talked to me the whole time and told me what to expect. Everyone at the office was so sweet, and I was in and out of there in no time and have had zero issues since. I was also very pleased with the price considering I don't have dental insurance! They've gained a new patient, and I'll be back for my next cleaning and any future dental needs I or my family need!

My family and I love Dr. Mitchell and his staff! They are always so friendly and helpful. When my Grandmother was in the nursing home and needed some dental work they went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of and for that we will always be greatful!

I have been seeing Dr. Mitchell since I was in the 3rd grade! Im 24 now and I have never so much as had one bad experience here. Every single staff member there is so pleasant and friendly, and they all genuinely care about what brings you in. I have moved several times and I will still drive an hour to see Dr. Mitchell rather than go anywhere else closer to me!

Been a patient for over 20 years and never had a single issue. Everything is always explained in terms that are simple. Getting in touch is never and issue and getting appointments has never been an issue either. They accommodate you and work with whatever schedule you have as well. I always enjoy coming for any cleaning, work I need to have done.

Dr Mitchell and staff have always been wonderful with our family. My daughter is special needs and does not enjoy a dentist visit at all. But Dr Mitchell and his entire staff habe worked with her in every way possible.

I have known Dr. Mitchell for 30 years and have been his patient that entire time. He and his staff have always acted with professionalism and courtesy. The small community of Monticello, GA is very fortunate to have him as our local dentist.
