Dr. Bonny Mitchell graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1991. She graduated second in her class and Magna cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore in 1995. Dr. Mitchell was selected to attend a postgraduate residency program at the Christiana Hospital Center in Delaware, furthering her knowledge and skills in general dentistry, medicine, and emergency care. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Mitchell was honored with a request by faculty to return to the University of Maryland Dental School to train for a specialty. However, she felt her true interest belonged with the field of general dentistry. After twelve years in the field, Dr. Mitchell decided to open her own practice, Mitchell Dental Care LLC, in 2007.
She regularly attends courses on a variety of subjects such as dental implants, veneers, whitening and cosmetic dentistry, gum disease/periodontal disease, TMJ assessment and therapy, and dental materials to name a few. Dr. Mitchell has attended numerous courses in advanced education by world renowned experts in the dental field such as Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. Mark Piper, and Dr. Jack Turbyfill. Frequent attendance of these courses allows Dr. Mitchell to offer her patients the most up-to-date information and techniques.
With a dedication to volunteering and community outreach, Dr. Mitchell has provided dental services on mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. More recently, she and her staff like to volunteer at the Stanton Centers free dental clinic in Annapolis.
Linda and her husband Ed were very supportive of her daughters decision to become a dentist. They felt Dr. Bonny had the compassion, skills, and attention to detail that would make her an excellent dentist. Linda attended James Madison University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. As a former Executive Director of Arundel Habitat for Humanity, she felt she could support Mitchell Dental Care through her organizational skills and appreciation and concern for patients. She helps to provide a caring atmosphere for our patients and staff.
Linda was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She was a teacher while living in Germany for 4 years. She resides in Edgewater with her husband Ed and rescue dog Saba. She enjoys sailing, skiing, volunteering at MD Therapeutic Riding, and playing with grandsons Glen & Patrick.
Jessie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2001. She has 4 years experience working in a periodontal specialty practice treating advanced cases of gum disease. Jessies friendly and compassionate approach to every patient, keeps them looking forward to their next visit. She enjoys the career path she has chosen. Jessie grew up in Middletown, Delaware and currently reside in Edgewater with her husband Greg and daughter Riley.Jessie spends her spare time exercising, camping, and traveling with her family.
Brittany graduated Summa Cum Laude from Old Dominion University (ODU) with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene, 2009. While working on her bachelors degree, she played NCAA Division I lacrosse for ODU.
After graduating from ODU, she attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) where she completed her Masters degree of Science. At the beginning of her studies she worked part time, went to school full time, and was a part time teachers assistant at UMB. She conducted her thesis research study on early childhood caries (ECC) with the Women Infants and Children (WIC) program in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She regularly attends dental continuing education courses to keep her knowledge current.
Brittany is passionate about educating her patients on gum disease/periodontal disease and restorative options. She is energetic and empathetic. She truly enjoys developing a relationship with each patient. She has years of experience working with patients ages three to ninety-five years old as well as mentally and physically challenged patients.
Patti started her dental career in 2007, opening the office alongside of Dr. Mitchell. She is now a Qualified Dental Assistant, Dental Radiation Technologist, CPR certified. Patti became interested in dentistry after observing the corrective treatments that greatly improved her granddaughters smile.. She is very outgoing, friendly and has a smile that brightens the office.
Patti was born in Washington D.C., and is a middle child of 7 brothers and sisters. Patti and Bill live in Edgewater and have a blended family of 5 children- Heather, Billy, Wesley, Jaymie and Bryan. Her home is usually filled with her grandchildren Summerlyn, Jacob, Lexus, Mariah, Dylan, Conner, Adelyn and Wyatt. She enjoys camping in the mountains, relaxing at the ocean and spending time with friends and grandchildren.
Kelly was born in Baltimore and grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland. Kelly has been a Dental Assistant with Mitchell Dental Care for 3 years. She loves making patients laugh and smile while theyre in the chair. She is a Qualified Dental Assistant, a Dental Radiation Technologist, and is CPR certified. She resides in Pasadena with her husband, Allen and 3 kids Tyler, Brooke and Spencer. Kelly is an avid Ravens fan and enjoys, traveling, movies, going to the beach, and spending time with her kids and all their school and extracurricular activities.

Dr. Bonnie and her entire staff are hands down the finest dental office in the state of Maryland. Each and every staff member truly cares about your care and well being. I highly recommend them for all your dental needs!

I've been going to see Dr. Bonnie for years and have always had a wonderful experience. She is an excellent dentist and is always very clear on what to expect. Furthermore her staff is amazing they are very kind and accommodating. I've always had Jessie as my hygienist and have come to enjoy going to the dentist!

I've been seeing Dr Mitchell and her team for about 15 years now. I CANNOT emphasize how truly amazing they are! I drive over an hour from Virginia to continue seeing them--that's how good they are! The office is super clean and welcoming, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the care is fantastic. Jessie, one of the dental hygienists, is beyond great. Dr Bonny is amazing at her job and has really curated a dentist experience that is straight up enjoyable, not just tolerable. The staff remember my family members and where they live and what they do, ask how work is going, and generally just go the extra mile to make it a pleasant experience. Everyone is very gentle and they explain what they are doing and why, with no judgment. The office team, Linda and Jenny, are extremely helpful. I called in when I switched insurance to a plan that didn't carry dental, and they stayed on the phone with me for about 15 minutes explain dental savings plans, PPO's, premiums, the whole thing! As someone who just turned 26, this kind of extra care really meant a lot to me. If this doesn't sway you, they also give out little custom chapsticks with SPF 15 :)

You can't get better dental care anywhere else!!!!! From the first time I met Dr. Bonnie and her staff some 10 years ago, it was clear that she has a special something. It shows in the way she practices dentistry, the way she runs her office, choice of staff, and the way you feel that she is always doing the best thing for you no matter what the situation. I started out years ago as a distressed out-of-towner with a chipped tooth during a Christmas visit with family. That accommodation and the care I received made a big impression so that when I moved here, I called her practice immediately to sign up as a patient. Since then I have been through some major procedures and I thank Dr. Bonnie and her wonderful experienced staff for the care and support I received every time I look at my beautiful smile. Now, when I go for maintenance, it is like going to see good friends that I haven't seen for a while. I would recommend them all day long - you will never be sorry.

Dr Bonnie is the "Best" not only is she professional and accurate on your dental need's she is honest and treats you as a friend or family. Her staff Jennie and Linda welcome you with joyful smiles, Dental assistant Patti is always happy to so see you and very comforting. Dental hygienist Jessie and Brittney are great cleaning and caring for your teeth. Best Dentist I've ever had!

This is the best dental practice I've ever experienced! That's the important part and I wanted to put that out there in case you don't read any further. If you'd like to know why that's true, then keep reading... I've been to lots of dentists over the years and it has generally NOT been a pleasant experience. I mean, it's the dentist! The other practices that I liked earned my business by having one or two people with whom I connected and enjoyed seeing a few times a year. I was seeing the best of those other practices when I took my then girlfriend (we're married now) to have her wisdom teeth extracted at Mitchell Dental Care. That's when I met them and they made an amazing first impression. My first impression was so good that I decided to jump ship and give them a try. I have never regretted that for a second. Under Dr. Mitchel's care I have had an implant, a crown, whitening, a few cavities filled and old fillings replaced. I can honestly say that my teeth are in the best shape they've ever been in both appearance and performance! Now let me point out that I'm kind of a big baby when it comes to pain. If you are too then Dr. Mitchell is for you. She is very skilled at making sure her patients are comfortable and that her work causes no pain. She's the only doctor who, when she says "this won't hurt", that I actually believe! She's earned my trust by not hurting me for years. in other practices, I would connect and be friendly with one or two people at the most. At Mitchell Dental Care I am friendly with every single person! Seriously, these people are really a lot of fun. The culture there is great and, as a patient, it sucks you in. So you remember that I mentioned that I married the girlfriend I first took to Mitchell Dental Care? Well, Dr. Bonnie gets a lot of credit for the quality of my smile in our wedding pictures. My wife gets credit for the quantity. Try them out, you'll never go anywhere else.

This is a very nice practice. Everyone is cheerful and kind. They're always glad to see you. It makes going to the dentist not so bad. But that's not the best part. Dr. Mitchell is a perfectionist in the care of your teeth. She sweats the details. If you're in her practice, and you follow her instructions, your teeth will be as good as they're going to get.

Dr. Bonnie and her staff are so warm and welcoming, you feel like you are visiting friends instead of a dentist's office. Every member of the staff makes a point of saying hi during your visit. Dr. Bonnie is an amazing dentist and I have full confidence in her ability for whatever I need. And I have needed major dental work! The Endodontist and Periodontist she referred me to were also wonderful and only had great things to say about Dr. Bonnie. My brother and his family go to her too and are very happy. A big thank you to Dr. Bonnie and her staff for making the dentist experience a positive one. I highly recommend them!
