Dr. Bonny Mitchell graduated with honors from the University of Virginia in 1991. She graduated second in her class and Magna cum Laude from the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore in 1995. Dr. Mitchell was selected to attend a postgraduate residency program at the Christiana Hospital Center in Delaware, furthering her knowledge and skills in general dentistry, medicine, and emergency care. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Mitchell was honored with a request by faculty to return to the University of Maryland Dental School to train for a specialty. However, she felt her true interest belonged with the field of general dentistry. After twelve years in the field, Dr. Mitchell decided to open her own practice, Mitchell Dental Care LLC, in 2007.
She regularly attends courses on a variety of subjects such as dental implants, veneers, whitening and cosmetic dentistry, gum disease/periodontal disease, TMJ assessment and therapy, and dental materials to name a few. Dr. Mitchell has attended numerous courses in advanced education by world renowned experts in the dental field such as Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. Mark Piper, and Dr. Jack Turbyfill. Frequent attendance of these courses allows Dr. Mitchell to offer her patients the most up-to-date information and techniques.
With a dedication to volunteering and community outreach, Dr. Mitchell has provided dental services on mission trips to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and El Salvador. More recently, she and her staff like to volunteer at the Stanton Centers free dental clinic in Annapolis.
Linda and her husband Ed were very supportive of her daughters decision to become a dentist. They felt Dr. Bonny had the compassion, skills, and attention to detail that would make her an excellent dentist. Linda attended James Madison University and holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts. As a former Executive Director of Arundel Habitat for Humanity, she felt she could support Mitchell Dental Care through her organizational skills and appreciation and concern for patients. She helps to provide a caring atmosphere for our patients and staff.
Linda was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Arlington, Virginia. She was a teacher while living in Germany for 4 years. She resides in Edgewater with her husband Ed and rescue dog Saba. She enjoys sailing, skiing, volunteering at MD Therapeutic Riding, and playing with grandsons Glen & Patrick.
Jessie has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2001. She has 4 years experience working in a periodontal specialty practice treating advanced cases of gum disease. Jessies friendly and compassionate approach to every patient, keeps them looking forward to their next visit. She enjoys the career path she has chosen. Jessie grew up in Middletown, Delaware and currently reside in Edgewater with her husband Greg and daughter Riley.Jessie spends her spare time exercising, camping, and traveling with her family.
Brittany graduated Summa Cum Laude from Old Dominion University (ODU) with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene, 2009. While working on her bachelors degree, she played NCAA Division I lacrosse for ODU.
After graduating from ODU, she attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) where she completed her Masters degree of Science. At the beginning of her studies she worked part time, went to school full time, and was a part time teachers assistant at UMB. She conducted her thesis research study on early childhood caries (ECC) with the Women Infants and Children (WIC) program in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She regularly attends dental continuing education courses to keep her knowledge current.
Brittany is passionate about educating her patients on gum disease/periodontal disease and restorative options. She is energetic and empathetic. She truly enjoys developing a relationship with each patient. She has years of experience working with patients ages three to ninety-five years old as well as mentally and physically challenged patients.
Patti started her dental career in 2007, opening the office alongside of Dr. Mitchell. She is now a Qualified Dental Assistant, Dental Radiation Technologist, CPR certified. Patti became interested in dentistry after observing the corrective treatments that greatly improved her granddaughters smile.. She is very outgoing, friendly and has a smile that brightens the office.
Patti was born in Washington D.C., and is a middle child of 7 brothers and sisters. Patti and Bill live in Edgewater and have a blended family of 5 children- Heather, Billy, Wesley, Jaymie and Bryan. Her home is usually filled with her grandchildren Summerlyn, Jacob, Lexus, Mariah, Dylan, Conner, Adelyn and Wyatt. She enjoys camping in the mountains, relaxing at the ocean and spending time with friends and grandchildren.
Kelly was born in Baltimore and grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland. Kelly has been a Dental Assistant with Mitchell Dental Care for 3 years. She loves making patients laugh and smile while theyre in the chair. She is a Qualified Dental Assistant, a Dental Radiation Technologist, and is CPR certified. She resides in Pasadena with her husband, Allen and 3 kids Tyler, Brooke and Spencer. Kelly is an avid Ravens fan and enjoys, traveling, movies, going to the beach, and spending time with her kids and all their school and extracurricular activities.
