Dr. Kinnee grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended UNLV for her undergraduate studies. During her time at UNLV she was employed as a Dental Assistant. She attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Dentistry. While in Dental School she was the ASDA Representative for her class.
After graduating from dental school she joined the U.S. Navy as a Dental Officer. During her three years in the military she performed a variety of duties as well as general dentistry. She also worked with various specialists giving her a well rounded dental education. Dr. Kinnee earned an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy.
Returning to Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Kinnee practiced dentistry in a large group practice for over 10 years. She then ventured out on her own to private practice. The mission of her practice was to provide high quality, state-of-the-art dental care across the entire spectrum of dentistry, while making patient communication the cornerstone of her practice.
Dr. Kinnee recently sold her Las Vegas practice. She later accepted a Dentist Associate position in Spokane, WA. where she worked until a position opened in Montana. Dr. Kinnee was provided an opportunity to open her own practice in Missoula, at the Larchmont Building. She is a member of the following organizations:
In her free time Dr. Kinnee enjoys cooking, entertaining friends and family, ballroom dancing, and traveling. She has been married for seven years, and has three step-children. Dr. Kinnee has achieved several personal goals running half and full marathons.
Melanie was born and raised in southern California. She moved to northern California as a young adult, where she lived for three decades. There, she raised a family and completed her studies at Santa Rosa Junior College. She studied and received degrees in Liberal Arts and Dental Hygiene graduating with Deans Highest Honors. Health and nutrition have been a lifelong passion of hers. She spends her free time pursuing these loves through hiking, practicing yoga, gardening, and cooking. She also enjoys travel, reading, and is a novice bird- watcher. Melanie moved to Stevensville in 2019 with her husband, dog, and 2 cats in pursuit of their love of nature and wide-open spaces! They have five adult sons and two daughters-in-law. Melanies favorite aspect of working in dentistry is helping people understand the importance of the relationship between a healthy smile and a healthy body then helping them achieve it!
Kristi was born and raised in Washington. She enjoys camping, hiking, riding her four wheeler and loves being outdoors. As a dental assistant she loves taking care of her patients, comforting them in their time of need and helps them get past their fears.
She has been a dental assistant for over 30 years, she loves her job and we think it shows. Kristi has three (3) children, a girl and two (2) boys and one (1) step son. Also she has three (3) grandchildren, two (2) girls and one boy and shel loves spending time with all of her family.
Dr. Nygard was born in Missoula, MT. and grew up on his familys farms in western Montana and central Washington. He went to college at Washington State University, where he ran on the track team as a 400m hurdler. While in college, he met his wife, Jenny and together they have faced many life experiences, such as school, kids, cancer, more kids, and more schooling, many moves and finally settling down in Frenchtown, MT.
He went to school at the University of Washington and completed his anesthesia residency at Loma Linda University and was fortunate to receive excellent training and received numerous awards, honors, and scholarships during his training. He is very appreciative of the many mentors, colleagues, and patients who have helped and taught him throughout the years. Dr. Nygard loves to provide anesthesia to his patients, and bringing the best possible, personalized care to each patient is very important to him.
He has a team of wonderful people around him, including dentists, assistants, and nurses who all contribute in their own unique way to ensure that each patient has a safe and pleasant anesthetic experience. When he isnt working, Dr. Nygard can be found with his wife and kids, doing projects at home, playing games, or spending time in the mountains. Along with his family, he is active in his community and church. His faith is an important part of who he is.
Dr.Montandon received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) through Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Montandon went on to complete another four years of intensive anesthesia residency training. Dr. Montandon is board certified through the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, National Dental Board of Anesthesiology and is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is dedicated to increasing the availability of dental services to patients that are unable to have their dental treatment completed without the use of sedation and dental anesthesia.

I'm very please with how well my grandsons appointment went. Everyone was very kind... I appreciated that they took the time to explain to him everything they were going to be doing. It went quick and I'm so glad we found this dentist for my grandson!!

I have been with this dental office for 9 years and refuse to go anywhere else. My favorite dentist in Missoula! The staff are always friendly, professional and treat me and my family members like their own family. If I could give more than five stars, I would! A+++

Will butcher your mouth and not find time to fix it, despite saying that they will. Someone at front desk will make you feel stupid for your concerns and will make it seem as if clinical faults are your problem, not theirs. After asking multiple times for the number of management, the same receptionist continuously wouldn't give it to me. Staff (dentists, specifically) will disregard any pain issues that you're having by telling you that you're "over exaggerating." Do not go here if you want to be treated like a genuine human or as if your health matters.

The entire office lacks communication skills & seems to just be winging it. I showed up to an appt that was scheduled 3 weeks ahead to be told I had no appt. What a waste of time! Mike said he vaguely remembered calling me to schedule. I was a referral & Mike had acted like they had no information for it, yet was the one to call me based upon that referral. I got in the following week. My tech was nice but wouldn't stop talking about her recent breakup which was unpleasant. Dr Kinee was great at numbing & was nice but she bounces back & forth in between patients. This was a red flag for me. My tech did the majority of my crown work. For the next week I was in excruciating pain, so I came back & was prescribed antibiotics/pain meds. I ended up getting a second opinion and having the tooth pulled. I do not recommend this place.

They put a crown on my tooth the same day. This tooth has been an issue for my self esteem and now I feel great.

Crowns are less than fun but I was struck by what I would best describe as intense, caring, professionalism. Dr. Kinnee and her staff were so focused on perfection while making me as comfortable as possible. I always felt like I was in great hands.

For a first time experience the staff was very friendly. The office and exam rooms were really nice and Jordan was well trained. She worked really well with me.

My original review was great! Then I was overcharged and the receptionist never provided a receipt as I requested. I had a crown put on a few months ago. My crown looked like a fake tooth, I was told they save the "real looking teeth" for the front ones.... Wait, what? Well that fake looking tooth now needs to be reconnected. I can't describe the pain I am in. They said it would be a full week. Yeah, not ok. I called around and found another dentist, will not be back. The hygienist staff was great, but that can't be where the great service skids to a halt! They will take your money and not care if you are ok or not! I am so disappointed. Go elsewhere if you can.

Dr. Kinnee and her team are all amazing. The quality and concern of care that I have received over the years has been excellent. Staff is extremely professional, I receive friendly reminders, all my insurance questions are answered or explained in advance. I feel welcomed and valued as a client.

Melanie is a dream to work with! I have never in my life looked forward to going to the dentist until now. The staff at Missoula General Dentistry are so professional, kind, and seem to work together like a well oiled machine. 10/10 recommend!

Clean, professional, and knowledgable, the Missoula General Dentistry team is there for you. Melanie is my hygenist, and I've never encountered a more gentle and throrough professional when it comes to the procedures she performs on patients. The staff is friendly and straight-forward, and they work hard to make accomodations for their patients. In addition, i've never spent more than five minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room, which speaks volumes for the effiecency of their operations. Thanks for what you guys do!
