Modern nowadays dentistry can do little tricks for you to feel better about your smile. When you feel good about yourself people catches your confidence and notices it. Moreover, teeth whitening is beneficial for your overall health. It not only boosts your confidence but promotes healthy smile. It can increase overall happiness. Who doesnt like feeling good about themselves?

Extrinsic stains may appear because of many different external reasons. It may happen if you like to smoke, drink coffee, red wine, tea, etc. Enamel can stain because of food also: the pigments attaches to enamel and causes teethdiscoloration.

This happens because of tooth inner structure reorganization: with time, the dentin darkens and gets yellower. That may happen because of trauma, medications or excessive amounts of fluoride usage during the childhood.

Before the procedure teeth cleaning its recommended to remove plaque and calculus. First, we have to protect the lips and gums and leave the teeth exposed then we apply whitening gel which consists hydrogen peroxide. The Zoom light and whitening gel penetrates beneath the teethand break up the stains and discoloration. The total treatment is 45 minutes long and it is sectioned for three 15-minute sessions of light activation.

To get the maximum result of the treatment you must consider to avoid using tobacco products or colorful drinks (like coffee, tea, red wine, cola, etc) and certain foods. You will have to use touch-up kit and maintain a proper oral hygiene and visit your hygienist regularly for scheduled teeth cleanings.

The Zoom light produces a little heat, so it can cause teeth sensitivity, which may feel uncomfortable. You can ask your dentist anti-sensitivity toothpaste prior the treatment, so it would lessen the symptoms.

Moreover, whitening procedure for some of the people may be less effective than to others. It depends on individual tooth tissues structure which is not the same for everyone. So you need to consult with your dentist whether you can get your teeth whitened or no and find out how it will perform specifically in your mouth.

I called the dentist to make an appointment, they documented that I do not believe in routine X-Rays due to medical concerns. Then when I arrived, they starting interrogating me about why I didn't want X-Rays stating that it is a requirement as part of their standard of care. During my last visit they were more accommodating allowing me to get a cleaning without X-Rays, this time, the dentist told me to go to a holistic dentist if I didn't want X-Rays. I ended up walking out as I was rejected service. This was completely insulting, A horrible and stressful experience interacting with these people. I will take my business elsewhere.

This Dental office is the absolute worst. I have great dental insurance. I had to get a flipper for my 2 front teeth (fake) while I waited on the permanent ones. They told me my insurance did not cover it. So I had to pay out of pocket $550. After I got it done I called my insurance to see if that was the case that they didn't cover it and my insurance told me that they do cover it and that they never got a call from Mission Hills Dental. This was in March of 2020. I've lost my flipper and have to get a new one. Again Mission Hills Dental says I have to pay out of pocket for them. And that they don't keep the impressions so I would have to do it all over again and pay out of pocket $550. I just got off the phone with them to try to set an appointment and the office manager put me on hold for 20mins just to tell me they don't have any available appointments. These people are crooks. If you have insurance make sure if you get any procedures done here to check with your insurance 1st because Mission Hills Dental will scam you.

They never make us wait too long to see the dentist ! We go in maybe 5 minutes after we get there sometimes we get to go in a little before our appointment time. My daughter has a good experience, they are VERY kid friendly, staff is super understanding willing to explain and make it a good experience for kids- as well as PATIENT which as a parent is really nice to see. I never feel rushed, I always feel calm and happy to take my 5year old here !(:

Do you enjoy getting an unexpected bill when nearing the holiday season for work done 6 months prior? Well this Dentist is just for you! Dr. Razi ensured the work he'd do would be covered by my insurance + deductible. The only reason my wife and I came to Dr. Razi is because we were new to California and didnt know any better. I have no problem paying what is agreed upon after the work has been done, but this is a total scam and feel disgusted to have done business here. I decided to pay this FINAL bill and have a receipt emailed ensuring a ZERO balance. This is the kind of place I would never bring myself or my mother to. I've found a much more trustworthy Dentist, but I'm not advertising. Save yourself the trouble and do business with any other Dentist.
