(Which he resigned from to start his practice in Elmira NY).
Dr. Missih attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo where he finished his Bachelor Degrees in Biochemistry (BS) and Mathematics (BA) with Summa Cum Laude. He received his Doctorate (DDS) from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine with distinction in research and various senior class awards.
He completed three years of post-doctorate education in advanced implant surgery; parenteral mild to moderate sedation, and periodontics; while completing his residency, he finished a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) and in Public Policy (MA).
As a board-certified periodontist, he believes in conservative, preventative dentistry, and his goal is to increase the life of his patient's teeth. Because of his dedication to the profession, following a short period as an attending dentist at Lincoln Hospital, he is now on the Advisory Committee for the Dental Hygiene Department at SUNY Broome Community College.
Dr. Missih and his wife, a board certified and well-regarded anesthesiologist graduated from Yale New Haven Hospital, are currently residing in the Binghamton Area with their twins, Esther and Joshua. Together as husband and wife, the doctors love to collect antiques. Dr. Missih's hobbies include painting, going on road trips, and reading. He also volunteers his time and dental skills to help the people in the third world countries.

Due to an issue I needed to find a periodontist. I am very pleased to report that I am extremely happy with my experience there. Doctor and staff are very welcoming and skilled. I've always hated going to the dentist. I had terrible anxiety about it--that is until I started seeing Dr Missih. He's always made me feel comfortable and safe. Most of all, he is very thorough and it is clear that his skillset and knowledge of his field is top notch. I think Dr Missih is the best of the best. I really trust his work and that he will do what's best for me.

I have been in different dentist who cannot save my teeth, they just want to remove it. Missih could save it. I feel comfortable and trust him. Staffs are friendly. I strongly recommend his services. I pick him not only because of his work and service quality, but also how he is honest.

First visit, but 3rd dentist in the Syracuse area. Practice #1 was good, but very expensive, they charged $100 to say, "hello;" practice #2 had a great hygienist, and dentist, but the billing lady couldn't do basic math; now here; an old-fashioned, manual cleaning that I miss, and a great staff to go with it. Things don't get much better than this. UPDATE: 09-24-20 I returned for a tooth filling, Dr. Missih was so fast that the filling was over before I expected. Yes, he had to do some drilling, but I expected more. I am used to "Happy Gas," over Novocaine; so, I had to adapt. I felt no pain. Before I noticed, he was using the blue light probe to harden the filling.
