Dr. Missih attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo where he finished his Bachelor Degrees in Biochemistry (BS) and Mathematics (BA) with Summa Cum Laude. He received his Doctorate (DDS) from Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine with distinction in research and various senior class awards.
He completed three years of post-doctorate education in advanced implant surgery; parenteral mild to moderate sedation, and periodontics; while completing his residency, he finished a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) and in Public Policy (MA).
As a board-certified periodontist, he believes in conservative, preventative dentistry, and his goal is to increase the life of his patient's teeth. Because of his dedication to the profession, following a short period as an attending dentist at Lincoln Hospital, he is now on the Advisory Committee for the Dental Hygiene Department at SUNY Broome Community College.
Dr. Missih and his wife, a board certified and well-regarded anesthesiologist graduated from Yale New Haven Hospital, are currently residing in the Binghamton Area with their twins, Esther and Joshua. Together as husband and wife, the doctors love to collect antiques. Dr. Missih's hobbies include painting, going on road trips, and reading. He also volunteers his time and dental skills to help the people in the third world countries.

Dr. Missih is an excellent dentist. He thoroughly explained my implant procedure before I decided to get two implants to anchor a full lower denture. I had many questions before and during the process (it takes months for the implants to integrate into the jaw bone). He always took the time to answer my questions so that I felt confident about what was happening. I never felt rushed as he was very patient, positive and cheerful. (I discovered that he has a good sense of humor.) I would recommend him to anyone seeking dental care.

Worst dental experience in my life. First, I told the hygienist that I had a crown in my 2nd molar on tooth 31 and to be careful, but she was still so rough. Second, you can't trust these people about your dental coverage. I told the receptionist that I have GHI insurance and that I saw Missih Dental is on my list of covered providers, but I do not see this location. I asked the receptionist, Mackenzie, if she could check on my coverage and see if I could have work done here. She told me that I would be able to get a cleaning covered as long as I paid cash up front for the cleaning. I did the cleaning and they submitted the claim, but it was denied. They told me that there was a mistake in the way they filed the claim, but that it would be fixed. After a month of going back and forth with the insurance and Missih Dental, Missih Dental told me that they were mistaken, and that I would not get covered for the cleaning. Now I am out $200 for a basic cleaning. I asked to speak with Dr. Missih about this matter, and the receptionist told me that he would not speak to me about this. My advice, don't ever pay cash up front with these guys.

I saw Dr Missih on emergency today. He was wonderful. He got me right in and was so pleasant and friendly. He diagnosed my problem very quickly and put a plan in place for my recovery. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Missih is great! I saw him for some dental work and it was painless! I like that they explain everything to you before you start the work and lets you ask as many questions as you want! I would definitely recommend Dr. Missih!
