Dr. Miriam Acosta is a native of Silicon Valley. She is a proud graduate of St. Francis High School in Mountain View, California, and the University of the Pacific in Stockton. She earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Sciences degrees from the University of California, San Francisco. She has been practicing in Cupertino for over 20 years.
Dr. Acosta places a high value on education and continues to study many hours a year through study clubs and various dental affiliations. She currently studies with the Spear Study Club and Institute, and the Silicon Valley Dental Study Club. She has completed years of comprehensive training with the UCSF Academy of Cosmetic, Restorative and Adhesive Dentistry, and the Pride Institute of Dental Management. She is an active member of the Santa Clara Dental Society, California Dental Association (CDA), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
Dr. Acosta gives her time, talent and treasure to the community, and has been a tireless volunteer since her high school days. She has served as President in the Bellarmine Mothers' Guild, the National Charity League - Orchard Valley Chapter. She has served as a board member of the Junior League of San Jose, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Cupertino Community Services, Saint Simon School and Parish, Saint Francis High School, and Na Wai Ola Halau.
In her free time, Miriam enjoys spending time her family. They love to travel and do anything outdoors. She and her husband, Rick, have run many marathons together, and run several times a week at Rancho San Antonio. She loves reading, cooking, working out, and photography. Rick and Miriam are busy pushing their kids, Mackenzie and Joey, into adulthood!

I needed quick action to address a broken crown. Dr. Acosta and staff were very courteous and professional and adopted stringent health standards to protect both their customers and staff. What more can you ask for from any care giving office than that the staff treat each other - and especially their patients - as family. Dr Acosta has been my dentist for many years and my teeth have been well taken care of. Just recently one of my crowns failed and she referred me to a dental surgeon who will do the necessary implant procedure. She made a temporary tooth insert to carry me through this time. Also the recent teeth cleaning revealed no further problems for the foreseeable future.
