Dr. Miranda Childs wanted to be a pediatrician since she was 13-years-old. During a mission trip in college, she met a boy who was sick with osteitis and wanted to help him. The experience made a strong impact, and she later transferred from medical school to dental school in order to work towards her passion: making a difference in peoples lives through dentistry.
In addition to her own dental practice, Dr. Childs helped to start the Arkansas Mission of Mercy, an annual two-day free dental clinic for underserved Arkansans. She was the organizations foundation chair for many years and its first female president.
