Dr. Jason Baker made the choice to pursue dentistry because he viewed it as the perfect marriage between medicine and creative expression. He attended Louisiana State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree and continued his education receiving his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center. In 2006 he moved with his family to the emerald coast. 2011 Dr. Baker opened Miramar Beach Dental & Orthodontics.
Dr. Baker has a passion for dentistry and a heart for his patients. I believe our success derives not only from the passion I have for what I do but the environment in our office. We strive to maintain a warm, comforting, family-like atmosphere so that our patients know their health and comfort come first. The staff moved into the new office location in the spring of 2015. This office was designed especially to enable us to provide the highest quality of care under one roof so that our patients do not need to go all over the emerald coast for their oral healthcare needs.
Dr. Bakers areas of concentration include orthodontic treatment, sedation (sleep dentistry) and a broad range of surgical services. For 15 years Dr. Baker has been creating beautiful smiles with orthodontics and is experienced in Invisalign, traditional braces, dentofacial orthopedics and surgical intervention for accelerated orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Baker is also licensed to provide Conscious Sedation, which involves intravenous or oral administration of medications to alleviate anxiety, allowing our patients to have their dental treatment completed without fear or stress.
In addition, he is experienced in multiple oral surgical procedures that include removal of impacted wisdom teeth, placement of implants, and augmentation of jaws with inadequate bony support for implants or prosthetics.
Beth has a Masters in Science. She has 21 years of managerial experience and joined our team in October of 2016. She is ACLS certified and is blessed to witness and assist in the amazing surgical procedures by monitoring and comforting patients. She feels it is an honor to represent such an awesome dental team of doctors, hygienists, clinical and clerical staff and knows that when she presents treatment plans, that she is surrounded by the best of the best. This staff truly puts the patient first, offers excellent service, are current and knowledgeable in their field, and have a pure passion for what they do. Beth is a goal setter and encourages the team to dig in, maximize specific talents and skills, and achieve the impossible for our patients. In the fall you will hear about Beth getting ready for her favorite holiday, Halloween! Otherwise you can catch her doing all things water related in her spare time, including shark fishing -Eleanor Roosevelt once said Do one thing every day that scares you.
Angela received her A.S. Degree from Pensacola Jr. College in 1990. She grew up in Crestview, Fl and has been practicing for 28 years. She has been with Miramar Beach Dental & Orthodontics for 5 years. Angela loves to study hygiene and dentistry and stays up-to-date with continual education classes. She states she learns a lot just from her patients with their own life experiences and characteristics. She feels its important to treat each patient with care and to be willing to adapt to individual needs. My goal is to put each patient at ease and to make sure everyone has a positive outcome. She loves to be a childs first dental experience.
Erin has been with Miramar Beach Dental for almost 3 years but has 5 years of insurance experience. She received her BS in Business Management from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. She is excellent at processing claims from start to finish. She recognizes that you work hard for your money and wants to help patients work with their insurance companies. She loves to learn new things and understands it takes a team to provide excellent care for our patients. She enjoys working with people and helping to solve any problems that may arouse. Erin has 6-year-old twin girls that keep her busy and is famous at the office for riding a unicycle!
Renee Santiago is our Dental Assistant / Clinical manager who has worked in the dental field for 31 years. She graduated with a degree in Dental Assisting at Wallace State Community College. Over the years she has taken many courses to expand her knowledge in the dental field. She is a native of Alabama but has recently moved to Destin Florida. She is married and has two children. Both of which are in college. Her son, Dalton goes to the University of Alabama where he is getting a degree in MIS. Her daughter, Christina goes to the University of South Alabama where she is currently starting her sophomore year in Elementary education. Her hobbies include outdoor activities, interior design, spending time with her children and enjoying the Florida life with her husband.
Jordan is from DeFuniak Springs, where she grew up playing basketball and rodeoing. She dual enrolled while in high school at North West Florida State College where she got her AA and then transferred to Gulf Coast State College for her AS in dental hygiene. With a history of sports, Jordan understands the importance of teamwork between the dental team and patients. She loves building relationships with her patients and making them feel at home. She also loves working with children and making their experience easy and fun! In her spare time you can find Jordan working out, hunting, fishing or doing anything outdoors with her husband and 2 dogs, Drake and Nala.
