I have been a long time patient of Mint dentistry since 2014 and nothing was worse than the experience I had today. I was due for my 6 month cleaning and upon scheduling my appointment I was told that I needed to change the location that I normal go to (Mockingbird) to another location due to Mockingbird now being out of network with my insurance. I decided to scheduled an appointment at the Oak Cliff location because it was the closest thing to my house and considered one of the in network locations. My appointment was made for today Oct. 31 at 10am. I arrived at approximately 9:45am and was greeted by the front desk staff. I completely the paperwork at check in as usual and proceeded to go to the lobby to wait. I waited for roughly an hour before being called back for my cleaning. The dental hygienist comes to greet me upon me coming to the back and starts the process for taking x rays. Following the X-rays I waited another 30 min before the dentist actually came to review the X-rays and talk through my cleaning plan. Now it's 11:30am and the cleaning hasn't even started yet. Of all the years that I have been going to Mint I have never waited that long for a cleaning let alone that long to be seen my the physician. I don't know if it's just that location in Oak Cliff but the Mockingbird location was always prompt and quick and never took longer than 30 min for the cleaning. I will not be retuning to this location and am now contemplating changing dentist all together since they are no longer in network.

For the longest time, like everyone else I've heard the radio ads for Mint Dentistry like an overplayed record. I finally decided to give them a try twice this year & regret both visits but I will stick to my experience at the Bishop Arts location. My appointment was scheduled for 1:45pm. Granted this took quite some arranging since I have braces with an orthodontist almost an hour away & normally have to make 3 appointments just to get things done with both. The staff knew well in advance & I reminded them yet again at my appointment that my ortho appointment was at 4:20pm giving them at LEAST 2 hours for a cleaning. I arrived on time for my appointment but did not see the doctor until 3PM. If the appointment wasn't vital I would've left. As I sat waiting, I had to notify my ortho I wouldn't make it on time in the mist of that someone came in to ask for out-of-pocket money for a "deep cleaning". Keep in mind I just had the exact same services done 6 months prior, but she was requesting almost $100. I was already irritated so I set up a payment plan because that didn't seem right to me & needed to speak with my insurance. Furthermore, I didn't leave the office until 4PM! The doctors response "This is why I tell patients to not make appts back to back because you never know how long an appt will be & I'm the only doctor here." Excuse me ? Never have I ever been at the dentist for almost 2.5hrs for a cleaning & you being the only doctor is not my issue. If you cannot maintain your schedule don't book patients BACK TO BACK ! Ultimately, I was correct regarding the costs & they had to refund me which took a couple weeks. The office seriously needs to reevaluate their scheduling system. Its clear one doctor cannot handle the office workload without creating an inconvenience for patients. Secondly, the finance coordinator needs to file insurance claims first to validate coverage versus assuming & incorrectly charging patients. If you have ever paid out-of-pocket, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking your dental EOBs to see if your insurance covered what you paid. Because unfortunately you cannot trust the billing department to audit their claims & properly reimburse patients. I'm only giving 2 stars because of the staff I encountered outside of the doctor & finance person. Especially the young lady who polished my teeth! She was quick & her energy was amazing.

By far the best experience ever. I honestly thought it was too good to be true. From the moment I arrived to the very end, the entire time was amazing, great staff, great atmosphere, and great interactions.

From the appointment to the no service I received. I would not recommend Mint Dentistry. Made an appointment 1 month ago for a cleaning after switching dentists last year. Sent blast of text message only 2 were appointment confirmations, all the other were blast marketing to buy this or that. Arrived at the appointment to fill out duplicate information on a tablet. Dentist wanted x-rays which I did last November and my insurance only covers it once a year. Since I wasn't going to pay for it and refused they wouldn't do my cleaning which is what I went in for... left no service and will never return. This chain is a shame and scam.

They DO NOT SPECIALIZE IN CHIP BONDING. my husband got his chipped tooth fixed and a few days later it chips eating a chocolate covered strawberry! ridiculous. He paid $500 for nothing he still has a chipped tooth and a loss of $500 dollars.

Arrived to my appointment to be told it was cancelled. They claim they called me to let me know, but my voicemail wasn't set up so they couldn't leave a message. There was no record of them calling me and my voicemail works fine. I would have preferred just an honest mistake versus the lie.

Was offered a complimentary whitening treatment as soon as I sat down. Dentist came in, looked at my teeth, said I have very little tartar and that I'm obviously doing a good job caring for my teeth. She suggested a "deep cleaning." An office staff member came into the area to discuss my treatment plan. A deep cleaning was over $500 WITH insurance. I said I can't afford that right now. "But we have payment plans," she said. That doesn't make it more affordable. No alternative plans were offered. I was then ushered out the door--like, they couldn't get rid of me fast enough. No cleaning at all, no whitening treatment.

My experience with Mint Denistry was completely unsatisfactory from the office staff to the primary dentist. Office full of newbies. Getting my teeth cleaned at Mint is equivalent to getting a haircut from a Barber College. If you have never been to a dentist before you probably won't know the difference!

Fist time here. Dare I say...I enjoyed my visit! I was greeted immediate upon arriving. Visit was for a routine cleaning. Treatment provided by Dr. Cunningham with assistance from Dede. I was informed about every step and what to expect. Dede made effort to ensure I was comfortable the entire time.

If you ever need to go to a dentist you need to go to this place they are very clean very nice warm and by 18 and their doctors are too awesome with a capital A! Their assistance to not fall behind either they are very nice and quite accurate or what they do. You couldn't ask for more at this office. If you're afraid of pain don't worry they will relax you and you will feel no pain of all procedures.

JUST WOW! I came to MINT after an awful dental appointment experience the day before at another local dentist. From check-in to check out I was beyond impressed. The front office staff was kind, prompt and efficient. My hygienists Jessica and Dora (in training) were friendly and had great communication walking me through each step of the new patient process. They ensured I was comfortable, which was easy because the MINT experience is has massage chairs, TVs in the ceiling and soft music playing - it's such a zen experience. Dr. Cunningham was personable and thorough in my exam and cleaning. BONUS: not only do you get fantastic service but you get a travel baggy full of goodies and complimentary at-home whiting kit. I can't wait for my next appointment!
