Dr. Tanguay received his DDS from the University of Washington, and completed his residency at Seattle Special Care Dentistry and Swedish Hospital. During that time, Dr. Tanguay acquired comprehensive training in pediatric dentistry, patients with complex medical and/or special needs, and advanced dental techniques, including IV sedation. Dr. Tanguay is the only general dentist on staff at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.
Ardently committed to social responsibility and building healthy communities, Dr. Tanguay, in conjunction with the Gallatin Dental Alliance, assists with the planning and coordination of elementary school dental screenings in Gallatin and Park Counties. He is also involved in the development and hands-on clinical duties of Homeless Connect, an annual, free dental clinic. And in 2012, Dr. Tanguays practice, Mint Dental Studio, won a Montana EcoStar Award for their pollution prevention efforts.
A member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association, Dr. Tanguay served on the Board of Directors of the Montana Dental Association and is now the vice-president of the association. Dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest evidence based dental care techniques, Dr. Tanguay is also a member of the Spear Bozeman Club, a dental study club comprised of local Gallatin Valley Dental professionals.
Prior to his career in dentistry, Dr. Tanguay taught high school science for five years and worked as a professional mountain guide, logging many impressive ascents, which include Mt. Rainier, Mt. McKinley, Kilimanjaro, Vinson Massif, and a few trips to Mt. Everest. Out of the office, Dr. Tanguay enjoys hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and spending time with his wife Karina and three daughters, Elliana, Malina and Naya.
Dr. Hollern completed her dental training at the University of Washington, receiving her DDS with the same solid background in conservative and evidenced based approach to dentistry as Dr. Tanguay. Resulting from her comprehensive education, Dr. Hollern has dedicated her time to making a difference by contributing to the health and social welfare of her local communities.
Prior to joining the Mint* team, Dr. Hollern worked as a dentist in Missoula as well as Oregon. Dr. Hollern is proud to be active throughout the community and participates in free dental screenings and sealant programs in local schools as well as Homeless Connect, an annual free dental clinic. She has practiced mobile dentistry in smaller towns throughout Montana and Oregon. Dr. Hollern was also involved with Medical Teams International in Washington State.
Dr. Hollern is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Association, as well as her local dental society. Born and raised in Montana, Dr. Hollern received her Bachelor Degree from Montana State University and is proud to be back in Cat Country.
While not in the office or performing dental outreach, Dr. Hollern enjoys spending time with her husband, three boys, and yellow lab. She likes to run, hike, and ski in this beautiful place she calls home.
