Its taken about a year and a half to feel comfortable discussing what happened at mint with Dr. Jill, but I think this story needs to be made known. I've seen her since I was a tween/ early teen and they were on Lake Street. I always felt drawn to the really clean atmosphere and heavy female energy. I felt welcome - until I didn't. The other staff members were nothing but sweet and accommodating, but as I got older, and started having trouble with my mental health, and thus, teeth, I started sensing a shift in the way I was treated by her. After a particularly bad visit, I was told I would need two crowns on either side of my mouth, along with two root canals. She announced that the crowns would be about 2,500 and each root canal after insurance would be a total of around another 2 grand. She, almost hurriedly, threw out the option that I could pull them, but then pulled the conversation back to how horribly detrimental and earth shattering it would be for a 22 year old to have two teeth pulled. I was visibly upset and the first thing out of my mouth was "I absolutely cannot afford this.. I think we should go ahead with pulling them". This is where things got weird. As I sat in the chair sobbing, asking for alternative resources because I live on my own, support myself, pay tuition and currently am on minimum wage - I was begging her to give me a plan of action to where we could address one tooth at a time, or a referral to somewhere (like a dental academy - which I knew nothing of before this event) I received zero meaningful advice other than "honestly there is nothing we can do. So let's get temporary crowns on and you can figure out your finances with *insert name* at the front desk after". In shock, I shut down and let her do what she wanted as I disconnected from my body. I went to the front desk and set up a payment plan that would cost over a year of my life and $200 a month I could barely manage to scrape together. I had NOTHING left to dedicate to the root canals, as I'd told her, so I waited until my last payment was up and finally went to get my first of 2 root canals. I was never told or given an appointment date I needed to be back by - they simply said come back once you have the root canals. As the year wrapped up, one of the temporary crowns popped off, and i had gone back about a month before this last appointment and was told absolutely nothing was wrong. My tooth was glued back and i went on my way. Then the last appointment happened. Excitedly, I'd called mint to let them know I'd finally gotten one of my two root canals done, and that I'd like to get started on the official process. I was congratulated and booked. I walked in, everything went as normal with the dental hygienists. Dr. Jill then walked in and looked me dead in the face and asked me, "why did you wait so long to come in? There's absolutely no way I can give you your crowns. Your teeth have shifted, they won't fit. Only option is to go ahead and buy another set." And walked out. After what was probably the most gut wrenching conversation on my end I was met with an emotionally disinterested "I'm sorry - but WE dEfiNiTeLy told you.. and we refuse to accommodate you even though we know, and have known, that even one crown and a root canal was not financially feasible for you" yadda yadda. Nice. Not only was she denying, to my face, that I told her financially I couldn't get it done anytime soon, I was gaslit into a distorted reality where her inability to inform me of time frames or follow up with me in any appropriate manner (especially if time was SO CRUCIAL) was not a clerical error or gross misconduct. She, with a smile, took my money for a year and left me with nothing.Truthfully, the fact that this was done by someone I had trusted for nearly a decade with my teeth was absolutely the worst part and I don't know how to recover. I'm still financially ruined, and I haven't been to a dentist since - I'm literally too scared. Stay away at all costs, I beg you. The entire experience was predatory.

The dental hygentist was amazing and she did a great job of making me feel comfortable throughout this whole first visit. The cleaningwas great and painless. The head dentist was fabulous and did a great job of explaining the road ahead while affirming me that we are working together. I strong recommend you check this office out.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Jill and the staff at Mint Dental! The entire environment is welcoming and state of the art--and you feel like you're part of a "family." Moved over to this group when I needed a 2nd opinion for my 7yo daughter's dental work. Not only did I receive better, clearer information (and a totally pragmatic explanation), my little girl was at ease. Dr. Jill is an expert at how to communicate with kids (and parents!). I'm a patient too - so it's Mom & Daughter dentist dates now which makes it easier to plan ahead.

Dr. Jill was fantastic and we LOVE our hygienist! We took our toddler for the first time and she did so well. The staff was caring and gentle with her, explained everything along the way, and even kept her entertained while getting my teeth cleaned. We've been going for 18 months and will continue.

Dentist is awesome and hygienist is also awesome. Just be careful on the billing department. They somehow do not understand insurance policy and make you pay for the difference after the fact. Very unusual exchange over email for 6 months. Finally I just paid to avoid any more emails. It would be a five if they got a new billing department.

Jill is the best! I've always hated going to the dentist, not here. Comfortable environment, friendly and concerned staff.

Very happy with the entire experience. Dr Jill is very skilled her staff is a pleasure to talk with. Their office is flexible and has expanded hours. And I know Dr Jill will not recommend any procedure unless absolutely necessary. I gladly travel 40 min to come to see her

My whole family (me, husband, and kids) sees Dr. Jill at Mint Dental. The office is clean, fresh, and modern with comfort amenities like TVs each in exam room and noise-cancelling headphones to wear while you're getting work done. The receptionist and hygienists are friendly and helpful, and we've never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen. Dr. Jill and her team take real care with each patient, monitoring issues from visit to visit. Dr. Jill and her staff have been very gentle and patient with my kids, one of whom is pretty skittish when it comes to doctors. We couldn't be more pleased with Mint Dental and recommend it to all of our friends.

Very friendly and genuinely concerned staff. Utilizes updated technology from appointment requests to xrays viewed and explained on an LCD screen infront of your very comfy chair. The office also tries to be as accommodating as possible with scheduling. Saturday appointments are definitely a plus.

My 13 month old son fell and knocked his tooth out. In a panic I called my pediatrician. She referred me to Dr. Jill and called her office to tell them we'd be on our way. When we got there everyone was so friendly and accommodating. They took my information and Dr. Jill saw my son within just a few minutes of being there. Because of how his tooth fell out and fear of a possible fracture, Dr. Jill wanted to get a second opinion from an oral surgeon to make sure everything was handled correctly right from the start. She herself called numerous different offices trying to find us a pediatric oral surgeon that could see us right away, instead of leaving that for me to do on my own. She found one and got us an appointment that same afternoon. I called Dr. Jill's office once we were done at the oral surgeon and let her assistant know how everything went. Dr. Jill called me back later that afternoon to follow up with me personally and hear everything for herself. I was so thoroughly impressed with how they treated us from start to finish. My kids had never seen her prior to walking in her office that day but she handled us like we had been her patients for years. She helped make what was a stressful situation for me a little less scary. I was actually starting the process of looking for a pediatric dentist, but it seems that I'll have to look no further. I would definitely recommend this office and Dr. Jill to anyone I know.
