In 1993, Dr. Darshini Shah obtained a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the Government Dental College located in Ahmedabad, India. Following her love and passion for dentistry, she continued her education to receive a Masters in Endodontics from the same institution in 1995. Dr. Shah later came to United States to finish her Doctor of Dentistrydegree from New York University College of Dentistry in 2001. Upon achieving all her degrees, she completed a year of General Practice Residency from State University New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 2002. After completing Residency, she has been practicing General Dentistry in New York City and Long Island area.
While practicing Dentistry, Dr. Shah is an active member to many dental organizations such as New York State Dental Association (NYSDA), American Dental Association (ADA), and Indian Dental Association (IDA).
Apart from her professional career, Dr. Shah enjoys traveling with her family and taking part in outdoor activities such as camping, walking, and biking. She also likes to follow sports that include tennis, cricket, and basketball.

I requested to be seen for tooth pain because I had chipped a filling and was in pain. The doctor on staff quickly cleaned my teeth and then rushed me out of the office, telling me that nothing could be done and that I needed to make another appointment. I previously worked in the dental industry for 5 years. However, I've never seen a dentist let a patient leave the office without providing treatment, especially if the patient was in pain. She's just trying to bill the insurance company in order to get more money. It's not worth your time or money to come here. -- And now, whenever I try to call to cancel my appointment, they ignore me. What gives?

Dr. Shah is a diligent and very caring dentist. She takes her time to make sure the patient is comfortable and at ease with any procedure being conducted. I have been seeing Dr. Shah for the past 15 years and I have to say that not only is she detail oriented and efficient but also very intelligent. She will guide you through any procedure that needs to be done and will give you the most effective solution for healthy and long lasting teeth. Her staff is also as patient and personable with the entire paperwork process. I will definitely continue seeing Dr. Shah as long as she's practicing!

I had such a wonderful experience with not only the dentist but the staff as well. I had to bring my 3 year old with me and he was very nervous to leave my side while I had my x rays done. He cried and wouldn't let me leave him right outside the room even though there was no door and he could still see me. But both the staff and doctor were beyond cooperative and helped make him feel comfortable and calm and within 5 mins he was fine. The doctor was very good with explaining everything that was going on in my mouth to me and she gave me a great cleaning. She was so sweet and gentle and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this dental office!

I LOVE Dr. Shah and her entire staff. Although, It was my first time going there, the professionalism and kindness that exuded from the entire staff exceeded my expectations. I recommend that everyone goes to this office for any and all dental work.

Dr. Shah is an excellent dentist. She is extremely knowledgeable and skillful. She won't recommend anything beyond what you need. Her staff is very friendly, helpful and agile. The clinic is nicely located on the main road (Jericho Turnpike). Parking is never an issue. We recommended her to many of our friends who felt to same.
