Dr. McNeil was born in Southern Oregon. He completed his undergraduate degree at Willamette University in Salem, OR. Following undergrad, he obtained a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry atOregon Health Science University in Portland, OR.
Dr. McNeil is one of a handful of general dentists who routinely performsIV Sedationfor the full spectrum of dental procedures. He enjoys working with nervous patients and has completed a significant amount of post graduate training in placing implants. In his free time, Dr. McNeil enjoys traveling, spending timewith the family, fly fishing, and exploring the great Alaska wilderness.
Dr. Bickler was born and raised in Portland, OR. She completed her undergraduate degree at Santa Clara University, then returned to Portland to get herDoctorate of Medical Dentistry at OHSU. After working for a few years in Portland, she decided to make the move up North in 2011.
Dr. Bowman was raised in Idaho Falls, ID. He graduated from BYU with a degree in Zoology, then attendedOregon Health Sciences University in Portland, ORand obtained a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 1994. Although Dr. Bowman has extensive post graduate experience and education in cosmetics, implants, and IV sedation, his favorite part of being a dentist is getting to know his patients and providing gentle, beautiful, high-quality dentistry.
Dr. Dustin Slunaker grew up in Helena, MT and attended Montana State University where he received a degree in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. He went on to attendOHSU in Portland, Oregon for Dental Schooland obtained a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 2008.
Dr. Slunaker makes an effort to create a relaxing dental experience and offers IV sedation for his nervous patients. In his free time Dr. Slunaker enjoys working out, skiing, golfing, traveling and hanging out with his dog, Louie.
Dr. Powers was born and raised in Rockaway Beach, NY. She received her undergraduate degree from Providence College in Rhode Island, and attended Oregon Health Science University in Portland, OR where she received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree. She enjoys working with children and adults and aims to make each visit as comfortable as possible for her patients.
Dr. Krogh was born and raised in Anchorage. A graduate of Dimond High School, he later completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Washingtons Michael G. Foster School of Business. After five years working in Alaskas oil and gas industry, Dr. Krogh pursued his dream of attending dental school and graduated from New York University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. His favorite aspects of being a dentist include oral surgery, restorative dentistry, educating patients on treatment plan decisions, and connecting with his local community. Dr. Krogh is a member of the Alaska Dental Society, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and also a certified Bioclear dentist.

Mint dental is a five star experience. I truly enjoyed my dental visit here. The customer service was excellent and they were so friendly. I am happy to be a new patient. ShaQuana was an excellent assistant. I HIGHLY recommend this office. Dr. Fields and the hygenist Joann was very thorough. The Entire staff professional, and the office very clean. They're all doing an amazing job, they even helped my little sister to ease her pain when she has a wisdom tooth problem not only that the fact that my little sis scared of needles, they make so simple for her not to freaked out and they did an awesome job on her. Job well done guys

Ever since I was a kid i was anxious and afraid to go to the dentist. These guys made me feel ZERO pain. I didn't feel the needles nor the pliers grab my teeth out. Excellent up front paying. I'll be back to save the rest of my teeth.

Can't get the directions to Folker street via 36th Ave!!!!!! I'm trying to get the map corrected! So many things in the Anchorage map are not possible or are unsafe.

EDIT: I finally sorted this out with the office manager and am now extremely happy with the service. Changed my review to 4 stars, deducting one for the initial frustration and upset. Moral of the story here: if you get frustrating and non-customer friendly answers, ask for the office manager. I know that sounds so 'Karen' but I think they would rather you do that than get a negative review. Original post: I went to these guys in Oct 2021 and they farmed out some of the work to another provider who they highly recommended and who was very expensive. This work was extremely shoddy and two teeth broke off in my mouth in March 2022. It is awful. I can't smile and I am barely able to chew food. I called Mint Dental, fully expecting them to stand by their treatment plan and the fiasco they had caused. Instead, they wanted $250 to check over the work. That was just for an 'exam fee', with NO restorative work performed. Very upset!

This is an amazing office. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to be seen quickly and they helped work with my insurance to save me money. I would highly recommend!!!

Had my first experience at Mint Dental! Erin was a fantastic dental hygienist, she was welcoming, kind, and competent, and my teeth were as clean as ever walking out the door. Nice to know I can check "look for a good dental office", off my list.

I got a tooth pulled from there, they said it was infected so I had to get it pulled out. Well instead of giving me Antibiotics and sending me home then having me come back a day or two later they decided to try to numb it and pull it out. Well because it was infected the numbing stuff didn't work at all, even after 5 or 6 doses of it. Then when they finally got it pulled out they gave me some directions for cleaning it and sent me home with some ibuprofen and Tylenol. I had to call the office and request for them to send me a prescription of antibiotics to help get rid of the infection.

Great staff super nice and clean office!! was in town and had to have emergency work done. They fit me in no problem and took care of all my insurance and I did not see a penny out of pocket. If you are in the area make this your permanent dental office. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic team! Very professional. Understandably, things have been busy with the changes COVID has brought but they've always had a clean, very well maintained environment and are working hard to protect their patients. Really great at helping put my anxiety at ease and I appreciate their wonderful, friendly staff.
