Minovi Dental's staff and doctors are kind, compassionate, and professional. I have been going to them for years and always refer people there, especially those who have any anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Minovi and her team go above and beyond to make you feel safe and comfortable. They even play good music as a welcome distraction!
Update: I just had my teeth cleaned, had another wonderful checkup and experience! You will not have a better dental visit in your life! The staff is extremely professional, great sense of humor and accommodating. There are options for paying, ask about care credit. Five plus stars!

I have been seeing Dr. Minovi since I first moved to DC, well over 10 years ago. She and her staff are consistently professional, kind, and make you feel like family. Recently, while traveling abroad, I slipped and chipped both of my front teeth. I rushed home the next day, and Dr. Minovi managed to get me in almost immediately. 1.5 hours later and my smile looks good as new (maybe even slightly better). She's wonderful, her staff is wonderful, if you're looking for a family dentist you can't go wrong with Minovi Dental.
Born in Vietnam, Tran was exposed to many different cultures and environments. Relocating to the United States, Tran settled in California, then moved to Kansas, Maryland, and finally Washington D.C. making her adaptable and conversant with people from many different cultures and backgrounds.
As Tran laid out her plans to pursue a dental hygiene career, her move to Maryland allowed her to complete her education with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus, College of Dental Surgery Dental School. Upon completion of her degree, she was chosen to be part of the Dental Hygiene Admissions Committee, where she spent many hours assisting the committee in selecting new students. Concurrently, she worked at the Greenbaum Cancer Center and The PLUS Clinic in Baltimore, providing comprehensive dental care and educational services for immune and medically compromised patients. Tran is meticulous and diligent in her work and takes pride in delivering excellent oral healthcare to every patient.

A little over two months ago, we engaged a digital marketing agency in the Philippines to help maintain our online presence and our website. YOVEO Digitals Founder, Lorna Bondoc, was introduced to me by a friend from FL. After a few phone calls to assess our need and discuss priorities and key objectives, we decided to work with Lorna and her team in the Philippines.
YOVEO is Spanish for I (Yo) See (Veo). Lornas vision is to build a community of digital micropreneurs by providing training, internship and livelihood opportunities in the technology industry to Filipinos in the rural areas and to women freelancers in the Philippines. Her startup is on its third year in Cebu City.

I highly recommend Minovi Dental. Dr. Minovi is an excellent dentist who treats you with great care and expertise. She also writes a very informative newsletter. The office is consistently cheerful, responsive and helpful.

Came here for years and recommended others but stopped after friends bad experience leaving visible glue on her teeth. The practice quality has dropped considerably hemorrhaging staff. Trying to retrieve medical records they always advised an e-records would be free and now refuse to share with another doctor without a $52 fee.

Dr. Minovi has been me and my husband's dentist for the last 10 years. She is very friendly, never rushes you, makes sure you feel comfortable, and always makes time for you if you need to see or speak with her urgently.

First of all Dr. Minovi is a lovely human being. I enjoyed interacting with her. I spoke to Shay (who was very personable initially) about my insurance before going in and she said they "accept" Delta PPO Premium. I called Delta, verified I have that specific plan so I scheduled the appointment. When I got there, Shay said I'd pay out of pocket for a cleaning. She then went back and forth with me about patients paying upfront until insurance pays and to then the patient gets a refund or a credit. I've been using Delta Dental Insurance for 15+ years and no dentist has ever required out of pocket payment for a cleaning. I called Delta back and they confirmed that the practice isn't in network. When I told Shay she said that it doesn't matter because network coverage is the same as out of network coverage. Um...what? With my limited insurance knowledge, I know better than that. Didn't appreciate the misinformation and the unprofessional debate in the office. Dr. Minovi: This is poor customer service. Please train the staff to better understand how insurance works. Misinformation sets patients up for surprise billing.

I am new to DC and I had an emergency that wasn't worth flying back to Florida for. So as I was job hunting for dental assistant positions, I came across Minovi dental and decided to apply and have my teeth fixed. So we were interviewing one another at the same time. Though I didn't get the position, I have gained a new dentist. She did an amazing job. Her attention to detail and chair side manners is amazing. Any dental assistant will be lucky to be working with her.

I had an emergency dental situation having just arrived in town. They were exceptional in providing immediate service, referral and eventually relief from an unexcepted situation. Don't know what I would have done without them!

I found out about Minovi dental when their representatives were passing out promo postcards. I have been a loyal patient ever since. Most of all, I love the high level of comfort, expertise and professionalism from the staff. I get a 5 star hotel-like experience on each visit. Dr. Minovi and team makes me "smile" before and after each service with their seamless customer experience. Going to the dentist isn't bad after all.

From start to finish I had a negative experience at Minovi Dental. First, they sent me over 20 promotional emails before I even had my first appointment. Then, they nearly refused to see me because I wouldn't give them my social security number, even though this is NOT a requirement at any doctor's office. The insisted that I get x-rays, which is fine, I was expecting that. I wasn't expecting them to take and retake over 20 x-rays for upwards of half an hour because the dental hygienist couldn't get the angle right. Dr. Minovi was incredibly rude while examining my teeth and when it showed that I had a couple early signs of decay, she proceeded to ask me a bunch of questions about my diet, asking if I eat carbs and fruit. Like, yeah, who doesn't eat carbs? She had a very accusatory and shaming tone and made me feel bad for the state of my teeth, which were not even that bad. I DO NOT recommend if you have dental anxiety or if it's been a while since you've been to the dentist. Look for another dentist with a bit more empathy and a better understanding of the inherent privilege it requires to have perfect teeth and dental care (which many of us do not have/can't afford).

For all you scared peeps who fear the dentist, you will not be disappointed. The staff are very welcoming and make you feel at easy. They are thorough in getting background and dental history to make sure you receive the proper type of treatment for your needs. My cleaning and check up was well done with very little pain and I was extremely satisfied with the process. The office itself is modern and quick with handling submissions to insurance.
