Dr. Patel grew up in Watertown, South Dakota and attended North Dakota State University for pre-Dental studies. Following graduation, he helped to provide care to children of underserved communities around South Dakota including Indian reservations via Dakota Smiles Mobile Dental Program, a non-profit dental organization.
This experience led him to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona where he graduated with a Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree and certificate in public health with dental emphasis. Since that time,
Dr. Patel has worked as an associate dentist throughout the Minneapolis area gaining experience and helping in the growth of several dental practices. In 2018, he joined the team at Minnetonka Dental in providing patients with pain-free comprehensive dental care with high quality results.
Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his friends and family and loves to travel and explore new areas with his wife and son. His favorite movies are Marvel movies, his favorite TV shows are The Office, Dexter, and The Big Bang Theory, and his favorite vacation destinations are San Diego and Flagstaff, Arizona.

I have always dreaded and hated going to the dentist. Dr. Patel has changed my mind and I will be getting more work don't on my teeth. Thank you Dr. Patel for showing so much compassion. Can't for get the wonderful staff front/back office.

In it to make money only. Doesn't care about the patients. Very RUDE! Doesn't have much experience with all the services they offer. I don't know if they actually went to school to be dentist's but the quality of work is BAD! The dental assistant was not there and the receptionist was actually the assistant one time! WOW// Beware. Filed claim/complaints with MN Dental Association & Better Business Bureau. Go elsewhere. To a dental practice that has ethics and experience! DO NOT GO HERE-WARNING!!!!!!!

favorite dental office. professional, reliable, friendly. I've been going here for a few years, and I can always count on having a good experience. it's almost like I look forward to going there :) the staff are all great and everyone there is good at what they do. i love never having to worry about anything and always being taken care of - they're a talented group who cares about each person who walks through the door. highly recommend coming here.

I have not had great experiences with dentists in the past, so I was really giving coming here a shot. I started by taking my kids and they had a great experience. Then I sent my husband in for a Root canals that went flawless. Finally I mustered courage to go in. I will never go anywhere else now! When I first started going to Minnetonka Dental it was because it was convenient and close to my place of work. I did not have Dental insurance at the time, so everything was out of pocket and they were able to offer me an affordable and fair plan that allowed me 2 cleanings (spread out 6 months apart) as well as a reasonably priced whitening kit that I used prior to getting married. Fast forward to last month, I called them in a panic, because I had chipped a tooth 2 days before leaving for a week long vacation. They called me back immediately the next morning and were able to squeeze me in right away to assess the situation, and they also did my next cleaning during that visit because I was due for one very soon. At this point, I now have Dental insurance and was able to get some necessary work done, including my chipped tooth repaired. My 2 front teeth have always had these unusual ridges on the front of them ever since I was a kid, and in the past, when the enamel along my gum line started eroding, the teeth began to yellow and become sensitive. A former dentist had put a sealant on them to get rid of the sensitivity, but it allowed the teeth to yellow more near the gums. At Minnetonka Dental, Dr. Patel was able to coat those teeth, making them look brand new and better than they've ever looked in my entire life. He even matched the color spot-on to the rest of my teeth. I was previously consider veneers sometime down the road, but now... I actually love my smile so much more, that I don't think veneers will be necessary. Two thumbs up for Dr. Patel and his entire staff at Minnetonka Dental. I WOULD recommend.
