Dr. Yang is super nice. Very understanding and patient. However, she did something that totally ruined the experience for me and I'll never go back to her. I've only seen her twice and the second time killed our relationship. If this was a larger operation run by more partners and not by a single female of color, I'd give this one star. But I don't want to sink her review rating. At the end of our last appointment, she expressed how surprised she was that my teeth were so crooked. I was shocked because I had braces when I was younger and still wear my retainer. No other dentist has ever said such a thing to me for the past decade plus. I actually frequently get compliments from new dentists about how well my teeth are holding up. She told me the only solution was Invisalign and that she was the best person to do it. I told her I'm okay and expressed distaste for this method of upselling. She's also a bad sales person because she didn't read the room and she kept pushing it. I kept telling her that if I was going to get Invisalign, I'd go to an orthodontist instead. It didn't stop her from pulling out all her horror stories and telling me if I don't get Invisalign now, my teeth will start breaking because they're so misaligned that they will hit each other and chip. I'm so disappointed that she did this. I was looking forward to building a relationship with her and this was such an obvious scam. Maybe business is bad and she felt the need to try to get a few grand out of one of her patients but I really hate that she did this. And the fact that she couldn't even pick up what I was putting down after telling her multiple times that I didn't like talking about this, that I'd go to an orthodontist instead, and that I didn't think I had an issue with my teeth makes me worried she isn't serving in my best interest. Those Invisalign margins must be huge for her to risk a relationship with her clients. I hope she gets a bonus from them because I'm never going back. For the record, I wasn't going to write this review, but when my new dentist found out, she was shocked and told me I should record it somewhere because she, like the four other dentists I've had before Dr. Yang, thought my teeth were great. Edit - I WAS a patient. I'm just using my partner's account. Taking off a star for the weird response from the owner.

Having grown up in a small town, my options for dentists were limited. Those experiences left me with inadequate care and guidance for ensuring long term health. Even with this baggage, Dr. Pa Yang showed the upmost professionalism and kindness during my first visits. In short order she was able to do a full evaluation using some of the latest tech, and present me with several paths towards remedying the problems. Communication was critical through this process - from assurances of what tools and techniques were being utilized to the anatomy and science behind the findings. No matter the question, a clear and honest answer was provided. The atmosphere of the office is superb. The lighting and decor set the stage for a calming visit despite any worrying circumstances. The TVs situated in view at the end of the chairs play videos and music that I can only describe as "zen", with X-rays and photos being overlayed when needed. I feel really fortunate to have this level of care available, and urge those considering Dr. Pa Yang to experience it for themselves.

Dr. Yang and her assistant are very friendly and always make sure I'm comfortable. The facility is clean and nice. Very satisfied with my dental work from this office. Cannot recommend highly enough!!

Dr. Yang and her team have created a top-tier dental practice. Her team is welcoming, professional, and efficient. Dr. Yang explains what she's doing and the benefits/purpose of each step. The office is comfortable, perfectly clean, beautiful and calming. You can make an appointment on her site and also you can securely fill out your paperwork online before your intake appointment to save time/paper. The forms are very intuitive and easy to navigate. 2020 Update: Dr. Yang got me in right away to fix a broken tooth. She is skilled, efficient, and caring. It's the little things: she gave me a new tube of chapstick before we started because she noticed my lips were dry. I am so grateful that she is my dentist! 2022 update: Dr Yang has some cool new tech. Rather than taking an impression of my teeth (by biting into gross foam), she used a tiny camera/scanner to capture a digital image of my teeth. It took a couple minutes only, and the images were 3D and highly detailed! So cool! Then she used a special chip (super thin and just broader than my teeth) to record pressure data on my teeth while I bite. It showed us which teeth touched first when I bite and the imbalance in my bite from right to left side. It also showed how my top teeth and bottom teeth align. Super cool tech!! Definitely check it out, especially if you have jaw pain or if you grind your teeth at night.

I went to Minneapolis Dentistry company to establish a dentist since I had recently moved. I left being told I needed two crowns, being told I had the beginnings of gingivitis, and several cavities needing fillings. I found this as a surprise as I have in the past have had healthy gums with an occasional cavity needing filled. Upon going for a second opinion, my new dentist stated I had very healthy gums, and two cavities. I feel as though Dr. Yang is a bit overzealous. My bill was cut more than in half by getting a second opinion.

I decided to try this dentist for my cleaning and checkup after seeing the positive google reviews. After years of good checkups at other dental clinics, Dr Yang told me my fillings were wearing out and had cavities forming around them, I needed crowns, a root canal, and my overbite was wearing out two lower teeth. I was immediately skeptical and sought a second opinion. The second dentist told me my fillings were completely intact, there were no cavities only a bit of staining, a root canal was not needed, and my teeth had a normal amount of wear. The nicest way I can describe Dr Yang's approach to dentistry is extremely aggressive. I didn't give one star because she was very friendly.

I was just fired as a patient because I am autistic - and i'm the type of autistic that is subtle enough that no one figured it out until I was in my late thirties - she wouldn't have known if I hadn't told her. Obviously, this violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. She suggested she be my general dentist and referred me to a prosthodontist to repair damage from a fall and a hack job by a different emergency dentist and periodontist that left me with a seriously damaged gum line on top of my broken tooth. I had been set up with her and the prosthodontist's team to repair the damage and fix my teeth- a lengthy process involving ortho, a gum graft, and then my crown finally being finished. We had communicated about me coming to her to get cleanings every 6 months while going through ortho, and then filling my "watch cavities" after ortho. Despite me dropping money on recommended products at our last visit (that they sell), no issues of any kind during our visit, and no conversation about this at the last cleaning and x-ray/checkup, no meltdown or freak out that would precipitate being fired, she responded to my request for a cleaning with an email firing me and insisting I needed to be sedated for any procedures and that I needed more than her clinic offers. I went through a gum graft without sedation - i think i could handle a filling. Bottom line: Her clinic offers cleanings. Her clinic offers general dentistry. Just not to me. What I need is a general dentist that isn't a bigot. What I need is a dentist that holds up their end of the agreement and isn't discriminatory and doesn't violate the ADA. If you have a disability, go somewhere else. Plenty of folks have an aversion to dental sensations and expressing anxiety about it is not a reason to fire the patient unless you are a poor example of a dentist. In fact, scroll down the page and you'll see plenty of people praising her kindness and understanding for anxiety. Just not for me. Shame on you, Dr. Yang. You should be embarrassed to be practicing.

Hands down best dental experiences I have ever had. I have extreme anxiety about the dentist and I have terrible teeth, so going to the dentist is a constant nightmare. Dr Yang is both an exceptional, detail focused dentist, and is also so understanding and does a great job keeping me informed of everything that's happening. They do all they can to make you feel comfortable while providing great oral care. You can tell that they really care about what's best for the patient and they do not perform (or recommend) any procedure that is unnecessary.

Let's just say after 30 years of defiance, Dr. Yang was the first dentist who actually got me to floss. Flossing still absolutely sucks but going to see Dr. Yang is great. It's unexpected that she also does the cleaning, but I like it: it's efficient, informative, and easy.

I can't recommend this dentist Dr. Pa Yang enough! The space is clean, pretty and peaceful, with easy free parking nearby. The assistant/front desk help is always amazing. He takes his time to explain everything, demonstrate, chat and schedule. He always knows who I am when I call in. They also accommodated me needing to get in very quickly before my insurance expired, and did a deep cleaning special service for me when I couldn't get in at a specialist. I also have been able to get in within a week every time I call for cleaning even when other places in town are telling me they are booked for a month or more out. Dr. Pa Yang is so friendly, professional and helpful, I can't say enough good things about her. I've honestly never been to a dentist like this and wouldn't go to anyone else now.

Dr. Yang was wonderful! I normally am not a fan of going to the dentist but can honestly say I had a very pleasant experience. Dr. Yang answered all of my questions and was very efficient. I would highly recommend Minneapolis Dentistry Company.

Hands down THE BEST dental experience I've had in my adult life. This was my first dental visit since moving to the Twin Cities Metro and I feel like I won the lottery with such a great Dentist and her staff. From a fresh, clean environment to her attentiveness of your needs as a patient I'm glad I chose MDC.

Dr. Yang is by far one of the best dentist, I've seen my whole life. She's always making sure your comfortable and doing okay, before she continues. Before she does anything she is always on top of her game and informs you of everything she will be doing. I highly recommend Minneapolis Dentistry Company!! You will not be disappointed.

I recently had to change dentists due to insurance and proximity (my old dentist was near my old employer, who I no longer need to drive near). In searching for a new dentist, I realized that this office was right across the street from my apartment and fully covered by my insurance. I saw the reviews were excellent and I was able to schedule a cleaning very quickly. I have a lovely experience. Dr. Yang was very kind and friendly! She handled everything herself except for check-in and did so with great care and skill. Absolutely set your next appointment up with her!

Absolutely have no complaints. They offer a blanket, pillow, a massive TV to watch while you're being treated, and will play any music of your choice. The staff are very friendly and want the best for you and your teeth!
