Dr. Erika Venn is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Natural Science with a concentration in Biology. Dr. Venn went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the prestigious Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Following dental school, Dr. Venn completed a general practice residency at The University of Texas at Houston.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Venn relocated to Atlanta, GA to practice as a General Dentist for eight years. During her years of practice, she developed an interest in pediatric dentistry. She has since dedicated her dental career to treating children and teens.
Dr. Venn is a member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), American Dental Association (ADA) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, shopping, but most importantly spending time with her family. Dr. Venn is married to Dr. Leroy Venn who is the owner of Smile Studio Orthodontics. They have two beautiful children Ian and Nia.

I have tried calling for 6 hours today and 3 hours yesterday and every time a recording says the mailbox is full. It is a 45 minute drive for me and it seems crazy for me to drive to Conyers just to speak with someone.

Terrible dentist! Wouldn't recommend! They cancelled my daughter's appointment even though I called a week ago to make the appointment. They've had multiple complaints about this but chose to continue to let their system make decisions for them. My kid now has to wait until December.... Over three months, to see a dentist!

They canceled my daughter's appointment without notifying me bc I did not confirm. The only option they provided me was scheduling her 25 days out even though I took off and was on time. They also would not provide us with a note for school even though she was out of school. She's been a patient there for 4 years. Pay attention to them not trying to rectify with patients who left them bad reviews.

Had to edit the 5 star to a 1 star because the women at the front are rude and can hang up on you when they are not pleased with the conversation.Also appointments are always "booked" even though majority of the time we go it's pretty empty.

Thank you to all the staff of Mini Smiles. We have been coming for a few years and I can say it runs smoothly. I am a previous Dental Office Manager and I can say I am analytical of any office, but the staff here is always efficient. After some front desk changes ;) We are always greeted with a smile. We started seeing Dr. Washington when my daughter was 1 years of age. She is now 9 years old. I have brought my latest two additions as well. So needless to say the dental staff is not the problem. It's the incompetent front desk staff. I called and informed them that my meeting ran over and that unfortunately we are running late, now I understand grace periods, however I gave the common courtesy to inform them that we are running late. The response I received was well are you going to be more than 15 minutes late I said yes I'm coming from our county of residence. She says oh then we'll have to reschedule you. My thing is this, they never start on time anyway I'm just going to find another dentist for the babies because I've had it with her front desk staff and it's been brought to the managers attention before.

I took my daughter for her 1 year check up. The staff was extremely friendly and patient even though I was a little late. They had lots of patience with my daughter crying due to the fact that she gets upset with strangers. The cleaning went by fast, I was attended quickly also by the dentist. All the staff is really welcoming and patient with children. I would recommend this Dentistry to anyone with small children!

The staff at the front are a little abrupt and rude / unprofessional, but the back staff is hands down the best. Once you are back, they make everything very easy for your child and helps with their anxieties. Checkout was a breeze as well, with excuses already printed, ready to go- YAY!

My son needed an emergency dental visit and his regular dentist was not available. I called and they were able to take him immediately. We came back to have his tooth pulled and the doctor remembered his injury and was WONDERFUL with his procedure. Office staff is great as well.

Love going to this dentist office. Everyone is professional and friendly and they are very understanding with my children as they have special needs and that is something I look for in the medical field when I take my children to office visits pertaining to their health.
