With this alliance, your dentist and our team will be able to effectively communicate your needs. This ensures routine checkups and timely cleaning are not overlooked during treatment. By building an ongoing relationship with your dentist, we can ensure quality follow-up care, tooth replacements, corrective whitening, or replacement of restorations. Minera Orthodontics is happy to work with your current dentist in order to carefully plan your orthodontic treatment schedule.
Some of you may have heard this before, and we would like to offer some clarity on the matter. The difference between an orthodontist and a dentist is education, plain and simple. Extensive schooling is required to achieve the official title of orthodontist. To become an orthodontist, one must first earn a doctorate in general dentistry, like a traditional dentist. Then, they must attend an ADA-approved university and complete two to three years of graduate training in the orthodontic field. A dentist may use orthodontics to describe their profession without referring to themselves as an orthodontist. To receive the title of Orthodontist, a dentist must complete a 2-3 year graduate residency in orthodontics at an ADA accredited university.
Dr. Minera graduated from the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and obtained her doctorate in Dental Surgery. After graduating at the top of her class, she was offered a position as an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in her Dental School. It was there where she developed a passion for growth and development and decided she wanted to pursue a post-graduate education in orthodontics. Dr. Minera was accepted to a three year program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey, where she successfully obtained her degree and was involved in multiple research projects and publications.
Dr. Minera is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southern Association of Orthodontics, the Virginia Association of Orthodontics, and the American Dental Association. She also volunteers at the Dental free clinic in Warrenton and feels very blessed for the opportunity to help others and give back to the community that has given so much to her and her family.
When Dr. Minera is not at the office working on beautiful smiles, she can be found shopping and participating in different events in town, she is very supportive of local businesses. She can also be found running the hills of Warrenton, Dr. Minera loves to run and has done her best to avoid them and it is impossible!

Dr Minera and her team went above and beyond for me! I had been having some issues with a new permanent retainer I received right before moving to Warrenton. I came in to Dr. Minera who saw me tried to fix my retainer, and when I had further issues over the weekend, she had me come in and totally replaced and resolved all the issues I had brought from another office. I was SO grateful to her and her staff. They eased all of my concerns and really gave me personalized care. I felt confident in their ability. They really went above and beyond for me!

I had my lingual braces delivered today and could not have asked for a better experience! Not only is Dr.Minera herself amazing , but the staff is knowledgeable and comforting throughout the entire process. Best orthodontic practice, bar none!

I have never been to a place that feels more like family than Miller Orthodontics. Not only are these folks incredibly knowledgeable, they are truly the kindest and most helpful folks I've encountered in a long time. They truly exemplify what customer service is about. Seldom do you find people in the business world now days, that operates like these folks. They truly do care about the concerns of their patients. We had been through a lot for several years with other Orthodontist and my daughter had seemed to have lost her smile and self-esteem. Literally we walked out of there the first day and my daughter had a smile on her and a new pep in her step. I attribute this to the knowledge, service and incredible caring staff at Miller Orthodontics. Simply the best!

To start - let me say not one complaint from my kid about going to the orthodontist, and he was a pretty complex treatment plan - these guys rock! All the way through from the chairside assistants to the front desk staff, the Miller's have an amazing team. Thank you for bringing that beautiful smile out of my son.

What a wonderful experience during my entire orthodontics treatment. I just completed my Invisalign treatment plan, and I am beyond happy with the results!! Everyone at Miller Orthodontics, from the front desk to the "treatment chair", was extremely pleasant and welcoming at every appointment. Great team!!

Everyone at Miller orthodontics is awesome! The front staff are always accommodating to school and sport schedules, the clinical assistants are kind and super efficient and all of the doctors have been great through this whole process. I would recommend them to anyone in need of orthodontic care.

My experience with Dr. Miller so far has been wonderful! I have a very complicated adult case with implants, failed implants, bridge and flipper work so I was skeptical and reluctant about starting the process of adult braces. But the consultation was so easy and exceeded my expectations - I explained my sense of urgency and called on a Friday, they got me an appointment on Monday while other offices were scheduling me a consultation 1 month + out. Now I can say I'm actually even excited to get started with my treatment plan. After initially discussing Invisalign and realizing my case is too difficult for it, I was at first discouraged because regular braces was not an option for me. But then Dr. Miller told me about and explained the process of the Inbraces and what an awesome option for those (especially us adults) who aren't willing to go the traditional braces route and how they would work with my particular case. I was ready to get started quickly after the initial consultation due to the time sensitivity of my current failing flipper, and the office made it happen seamlessly. Setting up the payment plan was easy and the office staff here makes you feel like family. The initial scan for the inbraces was easy as well (all the ladies that work on you are adorable and so nice and gentle) and Dr. Miller spent a lot of time with me making sure I was happy with the adjustments he made to my denture tooth and talking through next steps. He even pulled over a patient who was in who had just gotten the inbraces on to chat with me about his experience so far! I can actually say I'm excited to get started on the journey of braces for the second time ;). If you're an adult and skeptical about the process of braces I really think Dr. Miller will be an excellent fit. After having spent a lot of time with many specialists and orthodontists I can truly say I am impressed so far and feel relieved to have found them. Thank you Dr. Miller & team!

My daughter and I were both treated at the same time for braces and Invisalign. Our experiences were nothing short of amazing- the treatment plans, no fee financing, professional doctors and staff! As an adult patient, I appreciate the staff's flexibility with my work schedule. Our smiles are awesome! I will be back to Miller Orthodontics with my next two children and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We love Miller Orthodontics! We have 2 children in braces with a third to follow. The environment is clean, professional and friendly. All three doctors are great and take the time to explain everything they are doing and put everyone at ease. When deciding whether or not to pull some permanent teeth to make room in the mouth of one of my children I wasn't feeling very comfortable. Dr. Miller was more than happy to call two of my brothers who are both dentists out of state to collaborate and discuss treatment options per my request so I could make the best decision with the most information. Dr. Miller was open to having another professional's opinion which shows confidence and integrity, and they all came to the same conclusion. My kids' teeth are looking amazing thanks to Miller Orthodontics!
