Dr. Alan Mincer earned his undergraduate degree from Colgate University in 1978 and his dental degree from Northwestern University in 1982. Subsequently, he completed a hospital-based, dental residency program at University of Illinois Hospital, followed by his specialty training inperiod ontology at Northwestern University, which he completed in 1985.
Following his specialty training, Dr. Mincer taught the dental residents at Cook County Hospital, initially as a full-time instructor in charge of the periodontal therapy at the hospital, as well as the cases performed in the operating room on medically compromised patients, and then as the director of the program.

Dr Mincer is the best!He is professional,knowledgeable but most of all caring! I am so happy I have found this place.For a first time in many years I have the right professional to take care of all of my periodontal needs! If you are looking for a periodontist Dr .Mincer is the right one for you! Highly recommend him!You won't be disappointed! I guarantee!

Very happy with Dr.Mincer's work. Worth the drive from the city to his office - he is a great periodontist. Tracy is the best when it comes to setting appointments, reminders and handling insurance claims. Highly recommended practice!

Dr. Mincer is extremely personable and Tracy is the biggest sweetheart. When Humana denied my crown lengthening (medical, not cosmetic) claim, they fought it three times and finally won. Thank you guys so much, you are the best!
