One of the most enjoyable parts of being a dentist is the ability to work with so many different people. While doing so, I try to build a one-on-one relationship with all of my patients and use a patient first approach. I also believe that patient education is of utmost importance, please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
Dr. Ty began his educational journey at Benedictine University at Springfield, formerly known as Springfield College in Illinois where he was a part of the Colleges baseball team, the Springfield Bulldogs, and earned his associates degree in 2006. From there, he went on to major in Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois while also being a part of the Fighting Illini baseball team, graduating in 2008. Immediately after graduation, Dr. Ty enrolled at the Southern Illinois University - School of Dental Medicine, his fathers Alma-mater, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2012. In the summer of 2011, Dr. Ty took part in the Jamaica Humanitarian Dental Mission trip that was organized by the faculty, staff and students of SIU-School of Dental Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Ty enjoys golfing, catching ball games, being active in his community and spending time with family and friends. In July 2012, Dr. Ty married Kasey Milner (Seaman) of Mattoon, IL. He and his wife have four children, Karsyn, Griffin, Keagan, and Koby.
Dr. Kylea grew up in nearby Petersburg, attending PORTA schools. She was chosen for the capital scholars program at the University of Illinois at Springfield. While earning her undergraduate degree, she had the opportunity to partner with SIU School of Medicine becoming a research team member at both a cancer research lab and a neonatal intensive care unit laboratory. After graduation from UIS, Dr Kylea attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Kylea graduated, cum laude, from SIU School of Dental Medicine in 2011. She and her husband, Nathan, moved back to the Springfield area shortly after graduation. Dr. Kylea is returning to private practice full time after spending five years focused on public health.
Dr. Kylea was motivated to pursue a career in dentistry by a strong desire to help people. I love to get up every morning and know I will spend my day creating relationships with my patients. The patient is the most important person in our dental practice. I feel it is important for the patient to understand their oral health and be involved in making treatment decisions. I welcome all questions!
Dr. Kylea is as dedicated to her profession as she is to her dental patients. She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), Chicago Dental Society (CDS), and is the current treasurer for the GV Black District Dental Society.
When she is not at the office, you can usually find Dr. Kylea outdoors. She loves to go camping with her husband and three sons (Isaac, Luke, and Sam). Dr. Kylea enjoys spending time with family and friends while supporting the the Central Illinois communities, particularly Petersburg and Springfield!

I've had a lot of anxiety about the dentist for a long time. I have some horrible dental health for multiple reasons. I have tried a few dentists in town and felt leaving embarrassed and more anxious than when I arrived more than once. Other times the cost has been impossible. Now I feel supported every time I visit. We have built a care plan that has felt so validating and helped me manage and plan financially. I also deal with sensory issues which make dentist visits stressful. The team always makes my experience as pleasant as possible. They have gifted me confidence and joy in my daily life!!

A really impressive practice with a great staff and a thorough and professional dentist. Dr. Ty Milner does an excellent job in going through all options with his patients and does not push unnecessary care like some other practices do. I recently had my front crowns replaced by Dr. Ty and I couldn't be happier with the results. The new office environment and equipment are also second to none. Milner Dentistry is highly recommended!

I've always felt comfortable and treated well by Dr. Ty Milner and his staff, but this new office is sweet! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. I love that Dr. Ty Milner and his staff spend their time to provide me with the information I need for future care. My kids love getting to sit in the chair with fun sunglasses, and the best part are the goody bags they get to leave with! With the new office and equipment, I am even more confident that my family and I are getting the best care for our teeth.

I have been using Dr. Ty for many years and I highly recommend him. His new office is very nice, accommodating and comfortable for patients. His business is also locally owned which is a plus. Overall, Dr. Ty and his employees do a wonderful job and I highly recommend using them!

I took my 20 month old here for a dental emergency. Best dental visit experience. He was great with my son and listened to my concerns as a parent. I highly recommend Dr. Milner and his team!

I've had multiple root canals and have a mouth full of fillings, crowns, and gum recession that creates oral sensitivity. I just started going to Dr. Milner and had 2 gumline fillings to help ease the sensitivity and a crown procedure yesterday. I had some pain associated with the procedure last night, and I was thinking that would continue as that has always been my experience and I've come to accept that my teeth are just going to hurt. However, I have had no pain today for the first time in a long time and I couldn't be happier! The facility is clean with top notch equipment, conveniently located, and Dr. Milner and the entire staff are professional, friendly, fun, and excellent to work with. I'm so glad that I have found such an amazing dental office and would highly recommend Milner Dentistry to anyone.

Had a very positive new patient visit at Milner Dentistry. The staff were friendly and both Dr. Ty and the hygienist took time to answer all questions and explain X-rays and recommendations thoroughly. Very clean office and patient rooms as well. Would definitely recommend!

The staff at Milner Dentistry has such an amazing system to see that appointments are remembered. There is two way communication to verify the appointment. Every visit is on time with no waiting to get in. The atmosphere is very family welcomed and respected. My visits are very detailed with a "show me" of any findings at the end of the check-up. Options are shared and the path forward is easy. I had to have two surface cavities repaired and I was still out within an hour. I had my next visit all scheduled for next time. Very good place and very much recommended. I'll keep coming back and referring a friend. Thank you for such great service.
