As a child I had pretty bad teeth. I can remember eating sandwiches and never being able to bite through the lettuce. I was so impressed when I met my orthodontist. She was a coach, an artist, a businesswoman, and a skilled dental professional. Her team was upbeat and positive and the results for my smile were amazing.
It took me over 10 years of schooling to realize my goal of becoming an orthodontist. Thousands of patients and years later I am still passionate about what we do. Sometimes my team at Miller Orthodontic Specialists chuckles when I start explaining to a patient how teeth move. They see my eyes light up and know that at the end of the day I am still a tooth nerd.
However, even better than the science of orthodontics is the relationships we forge with our patients. I love meeting new people every day and helping them on their way to their best smile. I tell our patients that orthodontics is not something we do to you; it is something we do with you. Dr. Lance Miller was born in Canada and spent his early childhood in Australia, eventually moving to Chapel Hill,North Carolina, where his father was a professor. He spent a year of high school in Germany and later lived for two years in the Netherlands and Belgium on a service and proselytizing mission. He graduated with a B.S. in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Miller attended dental school at the University of North Carolina where he was involved with numerous community service and dental research projects. He completed a residency at Saint LouisUniversity, graduating with a M.S. degree and specialty certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Miller is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. He is married with two children and his hobbies include spending timewith his family, playing the piano, skiing, golfing, and watching UNC and BYU athletics.

Sometimes these technologies are behind the scenes in areas such as sterilization, computer systems, sharing patient records with your general dentist, and more convenient patient scheduling and reminders. Other times the latest methods are being used right in front of our patients, like ProSeal that helps protect your teeth, new wires that are gentler, innovative appliances like the Herbst and Forsus, clear ceramic braces and Invisalign.
We take time to get to know every patient and their family personally. In addition, we know that orthodontics is not a one-size fits all endeavor. We carefully diagnose each case in order to find the treatment plan that will give you the best smile.

i thought i was gonna hate getting braces fr but it was nice , it hurt a lot of the time buh it was fun w you guys/girls. you guys were so funny all the time and definitely changed my feelings abt going to the dentist , thank you - carter brewer

My experience with Miller Orthodontic Specialists was nothing short of amazing. The office is very clean and welcoming.The staff are all extremely kind and knowledgeable about what they are doing. They always asked me how I was doing, made me smile and laugh when I was there. They let me know what they were going to do before they did it which was comforting to know. I came to them with my concerns about my teeth and what I wanted. The treatment plan I had was to have braces for 24 months and they explained it all thoroughly to me every step of the way. Any questions I had were answered and my concerns were addressed in a professional manner. The payment plan worked perfectly for me. I am very satisfied with the outcome of my treatment and highly recommend going to see them for a consult if you want a beautiful smile! Thank you to everyone at Miller Orthodontic Specialists for being so kind to me and helping me get the smile I've always wanted!! Especially Ashley for being super kind to me and going out of your way to connect and converse with me, making me feel welcomed and comfortable.

We love Dr. Miller and his staff!! My two kids have beautiful smiles thanks to them! clean office, great staff- very knowledgeable and kind to all the patients. you can tell that everyone gets along and they enjoy their jobs! Everyone is always in a good mood, joking around with each other which makes for a comfortable setting for these kids who are nervous going in!! My kids always enjoy going to seeing the staff and grabbing a cookie at the end!!! highly recommend them!! Just amazing experience each time we go!! We usually get Ashley and my kids love her

Dr Miller and his staff are friendly, caring, efficient and professional. Getting metal braces as an adult was not an easy decision but it has already been 8 months out of the year ortho plan and it has gone by quick and painless. Ashley has been especially great and helpful! I am very happy with my results so far. I look forward to the end of my treatment and it is only a few short months away. I will definitely be taking advantage of the 10 year replacement retainer plus teeth whitening package. What a deal! I also want to mention that it has been so convenient for me that Miller Orthodontics has 3 locations in Brattleboro, Keene and Rindge as I sometimes travel for work and have had to make appointments in all 3. I highly recommend Miller Orthodontics!
