Furthering his education at the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Andrews went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 1990. From 1990 to 1994, he was chief resident in Maxillofacial Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Michael Andrews has been practicing with Miller Oral Surgery since August of 2002. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. His certifications Include Pediatric Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Andrews currently resides in Lebanon with his wife, Jess and two children; 24 year old son Michael and 16 year old daughter Claire. His love of the outdoors is reflective among his many hobbies which include hunting, fishing, golfing and the nurturing and maintaining of his bonsai trees.
Shaun Bortel is a native of South Central Pennsylvania. He was raised In Hershey, Pennsylvania; graduating from Hershey High School in 1988. In 1992, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Albright College.
Dr. Bortel received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia where he graduated Cum Laude In 1996. He was a resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati from 1996 to 2000.
Dr. Bortel has been with Miller Oral Surgery since 2003. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. His certifications include Pediatric Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Joo grew up in the neighboring state of New Jersey. He earned his BA with Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University. Upon graduation, he briefly attended University of Heidelberg in Germany on DAAD exchange program. Undecided on his career path, he had a brief career as a high school mathematics teacher then decided to attend University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey Dental School (Rutgers University).
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Joo accepted commission to join the US Navy, completing general practice residency at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. Dr. Joo went on to complete Navy's Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, serving as a Chief Resident in his final year. He served total 12 years in the US Navy, stationed all around the world.

Says on thier website they accept Medicare and when I got there they said they don't accept it !! Unbelievable

I just had a tooth, that was cracked right down the middle up in my gums as a root canal infection, pulled. Last time I had a tooth pulled I had a major panic attack as soon as the dentist started. This was at a location in Harrisburg. I'll tell ya what, Miller Oral Surgery is AMAZING I will never go anywhere else. Audrey, the receptionist, is definitely by far the nicest person I've ever talked to over the phone! We chatted a few times and wow is she amazing too! Then meeting her today, so pretty and still so nice!! On to Dr. Andrews and Tobie-- they were amazing as well. Both were so very calm, polite, professional, very funny, and smooth! I told Tobie prior to the procedure today that I had a panic attack last time. Well her and Dr. Andrews were so awesome and understanding about that. They catered to that for me thankfully. Ok this is long enough lol. The procedure itself took like 5 minutes. I am so impressed!!! Thank you to Audrey, Tobie and Dr. Andrews for being so dang awesome! If I ever need dental work done again, I will not freak out the way I did today before this. I will know that I am in excellent hands with this oral surgeon's office! Oh and RIP Bart Kaminski and Hop Hedz Gear

My son had oral surgery at the end of March and we were charged more than we should have. It is now over 2 months later and I still have not received a refund for the over payment. They expect their money right away but when I call to inquire about it I am told that it is with accounting and I will receive it soon! Such a load of BS.

Dr.Joo is honestly a Saint of a doctor. I absolutely cannot do needles especially ones that go in the veins. Dr.Joo sprayed on this stuff that make my arm feel really weird and honestly it was more uncomfortable than the needle itself and he sprayed it on nice and heavy. I really appreciate him doing that for me cause it took my mind off of the IV and while my surgery was literally the morning of me writing this I'm doing pretty good actually. Little scared to eat cause there's 4 giant holes in my mouth but please go see Dr.Joo. I'm sure the other surgeons are amazing people this is just who I happen to work with. And not to sound weird he has a very Morgan Freeman style soothing voice which was comforting

I was really nervous since it was the first surgery I've ever had and never had problems with my teeth. Had to get my wisdom teeth out, they talked me through it way before hand, reassured me and was real with me right before and that helped calm me down. Heard they were awesome and found out for myself that they are. They live up to that reputation. From what I've heard from others, I had a much better experience than when they had it done at other places, so I'm very fortunate to have gone to Miller Oral.

I had multiple teeth extractions and Dr. Andrews did a wonderful job! Very little pain. The whole staff was amazing. I would definitely recommend this office!

Had surgery today,clean,safe environment with the nicest and most knowledgeable staff. Even got a call this afternoon to see how I was doing.They were up front from the beginning about any co paysto expect,and answed all questions about after care,also sending home instructions that answered all my questions,Highly recommend!

Dr. Joo and the entire staff were so friendly and eased any anxiety I had for getting my wisdom teeth extracted. They did a fantastic job and I will certainly trust them for any future procedures needed for my family.

Amazing!! I have such bad anxiety when it comes to any dental procedure; Dr. Joo and the staff made it so much better and made me comfortable. I had my two bottom wisdom teeth removed and have had no swelling and very minimal discomfort. 100% recommend this practice to anyone that needs a dental procedure done.

I've never had any major issues with my teeth so when I was faced with getting a root canal or an extraction of my back molar I was beyond scared . Hoping this will be the only time I need their services but if I do , I know it's the best place to go . The whole staff was extremely nice and understanding . Dr.Joo explained everything he was doing and did a great job . I was still anxious during the extraction but they all went a long way to put me at ease . I highly recommend this place and the ones that work there.

I would highly recommend Miller Oral Surgery. Dr Bortel and the entire staff were amazing. He knew I had a lot of anxiety and helped me thru it. He explained everything he did as he did it from the novacaine to the gauze pads. The after care was well explained too and I have had no trouble during the healing process. They are a very caring and professional office and they will be my first choice if I need services like this again.
