This is best by far the most friendly and caring dental office that I have ever been to and I am 67 years old. I used to always dread to go to the dentist but this office has been the best for us coward. I cannot stress enough why this is the best experience in dental work ever. I have Val as my hygienist and she is caring and does a great job of cleaning my teeth and providing good advise on what I should do to improve my dental health. Treatment and prevention of dental disease can improve a patients overall health. We perform thorough exams, checking the teeth and gums as well as completing an oral cancer exam. When necessary, we take dental images, or x-rays, utilizing low radiation digital technology. As your dental office, we take great care regarding the beauty of your smile as well as your overall health.
We want our patients to be confident that our office follows infection control and sterilization procedures as recommended by the American Dental Association, the Centers for Disease Control, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Dr. Miller and her entire team complete yearly training updates to maintain the highest standards of safety for our patients. We are happy to answer any questions you may have or give a tour of our sterilization area.
To provide our patients with the best possible treatment, we participate in continuing education lectures, meetings, and conventions. New products, equipment, and techniques often make dental care more comfortable and affordable for patients. We are committed to continual education in order to improve our service to you.
Dr. Joy M. Miller was born and raised in Herington, Kansas. She moved to Kansas City in 1989 to attend the University of Missouri Kansas City Dental School. Following graduation in 1993, Dr. Miller completed a two-year residency at the UMKC Dental School in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program.
Dr. Miller then joined Dr. Richard Lannings practice in 1995. Dr. Lannings practice was founded in 1964 where many of the patients that began with him, as well as their children and grandchildren, remain in the practice today. Dr. Miller became the owner in 1998 and continues the tradition of treating patients as if they were family.
Dr. Miller is very proud of her exceptional dental clinic team. Kim, Val, Emily, and Emma are all registered dental hygienists. They have had extensive training on how to best care for your oral health. They are thorough and still gentle.

I broke a crown over the weekend. I contacted Dr Millers office and they got me in Monday at 2:00 P.M. Forty Five minutes later I was headed home with a temporary crown and the permanent one to be put in on November 11th. Thank you Dr Miller for getting me right in and taking care of my problem. Props to Laurie what a great chair side assistant thank you Laurie.

My family moved to Lee's Summit over 20 years ago. We tried other dentists and then decided it was worth the drive. She met my husband there when the office was closed and we were leaving the country because he broke a tooth. our drive is half an hour. It is worth the trip.

I've sat in Emily's chair for many years now and I've receive several suggestions on how to avoid the drill beyond flossing, etc. Today Emily stopped the cleaning, got out the mirror, pointed, and showed me what I could improve on. Perfect. A few years ago we talked about what a healthy diet can do for your teeth. Emily is also strong enough to do her job so when I leave through the door my chops are clean. .

Love Dr. Miller and her staff. They're highly competent and efficient, and they have created a family-friendly environment. I can't say I'll ever look forward to going to the dentist, but this is as close as it gets!
