Dr. Kyle Hammer loves dentistry because it provides the daily opportunity to interact with people within his community.Dentistry combines Dr. Hammers talent of art, problem solving ability and his inner desire to be an entrepreneur. Most importantly, he enjoys succeeding in these aspects in a fun-loving manner alongside his wonderful team of employees and patients.
Dr. Hammer earned a BS in Biology from the University of North Dakota and then completed his DDS degree in 2013 from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. While earning his degrees, Dr. Hammer was committed to both community service and academic excellence. In dental school, he volunteered and coordinated the Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic in St. Paul. Dr. Hammer also acted as a student ambassador to prospective dental students and upon graduation, received the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry Award. Dr. Hammer is also an engaged and active member of the Northeastern MN District Dental Society.
Dr. Hammer met his wife, Dr. Christine Hammer, while in dental school and they got married in 2012. They are blessed with three children: Ben (4), Stella (4) and Luke (1). Dr. Christine Hammer is an Orthodontist in the greater Duluth-Superior area. When not working, Dr. Hammer has a passion for golfing, downhill skiing, traveling and hiking the beautiful North Shore trails with the family golden doodle, Murphy.
A Duluth native, Dr. Nate Kotter is proud to be able to provide dental care in his hometown. Providing his patients with a happy and healthy smile is the aspect of dentistry Dr. Kotter finds most rewarding. He also enjoys getting to know each and every patient and making a positive impact within his community.
Dr. Kotter earned his BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota Duluth, graduating Summa cum laude. He then attended Marquette University School of Dentistry, earning his DDS degree in 2020. While attending dental school, Dr. Kotter volunteered for many community events, including Give Kids a Smile. He also had the opportunity to work at various outreach clinics.
Dr. Kotter met his wife, Mary, while attending the University of Minnesota Duluth. They later got married in 2017 along the North Shore of Lake Superior. When not working, Dr. Kotter enjoys traveling, hiking, playing hockey, and adventuring with his wife and morkie, Ember.
According to Dr. Wendy Peterson, the most enjoyable component of her career is that she gets to make connections with people every single day. Dentistry is the perfect blend of art and biology for her and most importantly, it is a helping profession.She offers a variety of experiences in numerous areas of general dentistry along with treating all ages and individuals with special needs.
Dr. Peterson earned her BA from Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY and her DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree in 2018 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. During her academic years, Dr. Peterson was engaged in community service by volunteering at Saturday morning clinics, which provide free services to area children and Mission Lexington clinics. Upon her completion of dental school, she was awarded The Class of 1967 Award for her biological orientation, technical capability, and socially sensitivity and the Humanitarian Award for her passion for service.
Dr. Peterson is a Minnesota native having grown up in Osakis and is glad to be back in her home state. She lives in Esko with her husband, Joel, and their two children, Aiden and Zowi. In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys camping, cross country skiing, running, and hunting.
Dawn joined us in June 2021. She is currently attending Northwood Technical College with a major in Medical Administration and will be completing her program in Fall 2022. As a Patient Care Coordinator, she enjoys working with patients to make sure they are well-informed about their care and providing a sense of belonging.
Dawn lives on a farm in Wisconsin with her husband Brandon, kids Kenzie and Tucker, 7 horses, 3 cats, and a dog. Her favorite place to be is in the woods and can often be found hiking or galloping her horse, Fiasco.
Tricia is a native of Canada, and graduated from Lake Superior College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Tricia enjoys getting to know patients on a personal level and helping to ease any of their dental fears while providing gentle and thorough care in order to help them maintain a healthy smile.
Chelsey graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene. Along with her degree, she is also certified in Restorative Functions. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, she enjoys educating patients about oral health and disease prevention, while also providing individual patient care.
Kathryn joined the Miller Hill Dental team in October, 2021. She graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science with an Associate Degree for Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. Since she was little shes aspired to work in the dental field because of her passion for helping others love their smile, and as a Registered Dental Hygienist, she gets to do just that.
Kashmiere a Duluth native received high honors from her dental assisting degree at Hibbing Community College in 2019. She next went on to Lake Superior College where she earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2021. As a Registered Dental Hygienist, Kashmiere enjoys getting to know her patients and making sure that they feel comfortable while receiving oral care.
Larissa Graduated from WITC in 2018 with a technical degree in Dental Assisting and went on to get licensed in Minnesota at Hennepin Tech. As a Certified Dental Assistant, she enjoys helping patients feel confident about their smiles.
Rebecca has more than 20 years of experience as a registered dental hygienist and uses her experience and knowledge to maintain high standards in clinical, administrative and practice management. In her new role as Office Manager, she enjoys developing a happy and highly functioning team based on collaboration, trust and fun. She believes this creates the perfect environment for our great patients.
Leigh joined our practice as Administrator in 2019. With over 27 years of Healthcare Management experience in both the Medical and Dental fields, she brings many talents to our team that are necessary for multi-location practice management. Leighs work ethic, knowledge, and empathy are second to none! Leigh loves interacting with our staff and community of patients and considers it a great privilege. She has three children Sarah, Andrew, and Alexander.
