Dr. Amy Troxell was born and raised in Winston Salem, North Carolina. She completed her undergraduate studies at Campbell University and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from East Carolina University.
Dr. Amy is an active member of the Craven Jones Pamlico Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Society. In her spare time, Dr. Amy enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and traveling with her husband.
She is the Practice Administrator for all five practices and enjoys that no two days are ever the same. She is currently pursuing an additional degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of Mount Olive. In her free time, she enjoys fitness and traveling with her husband and daughter.
Dr Wang has been a resident of North Carolina for almost 10 years. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (go Heels!) for his Bachelor of Science in chemistry before completing his dental training at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr Wang then returned to North Carolina at Greenville for his advanced education in general dentistry residency program with community health. In his spare time, Dr Wang is an adamant foodie and tries to exercise regularly to support his eating habits.
At Miller and Associates in Jacksonville, Dr Wang sees patients for general dentistry (including fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges and more) as well as dentures in a day. Dr Wang enjoys seeing a wide diversity of patients and is able to speak Spanish and Mandarin. Dr Wang encourages all his patients to ask questions about their dental health and oral hygiene, knowledge is power!
Dr. Nayankumar Vyas is originally from the western part of India. He graduated with his Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, India. He moved to the USA to be closer to his family residing in North Carolina. He attended the International Dentist Program at Indiana University School of Dentistry to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was a part of the Deans list and was also awarded the Student Excellence Award by the Indianapolis General Dentistry study club. After graduating he worked as a clinical and laboratory instructor at IUSD and also practiced as an Associate Dentist at a private practice before moving back to North Carolina. He is an active member of the American Dental association and North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. V as he is known to the staff and his patients is very passionate about dentistry and strives to make his patients comfortable while in his care. His favorite part of dentistry is providing edentulous patients with a beautiful smile and confidence with the help of partial and complete dentures.
Dr. Anupriya Fernandes hails from the southern part of India. She received her Bachelors in Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, India. There after she practiced as a General dentist for both a private practice and in a hospital setting before moving to the USA. She attended the International Dentist Program at Indiana University School of Dentistry and graduated with highest distinction to receive her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. She was a part of the Deans list and was also awarded the Deans International Dentist Program Citation award. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society by Theta Theta Chapter because of her excellence in academics. She is an active member of the American Dental association, North Carolina Dental Society and OKU Theta Theta Chapter.
Dr. John 'Yates' Williams was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. After receiving his B.S. with honors in Business Administration from UNCW, he worked in finance for several years before pursuing a career in dentistry. Dr. Williams is very passionate about delivering high quality, conservative dental care. He understands that many patients have anxiety associated with dental care, and Dr. Williams strives to make each patients ' experience a positive one.
Dr. Mark Russell grew up in Southern Pines, North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and completed his dental training at East Carolina University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
In his spare time, Dr. Russell enjoys playing golf, kayaking, photography and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Chrissy, recently welcomed their son, Pete, to the family along with their dog, Lego.
Dr. Jovanna Lacayo was born and raised in Miami, FL. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida International University graduating with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ. Dr. Lacayo completed a General Practice Residency at St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, PA following graduation from dental school. Dr. Lacayo is new to North Carolina and is loving living here!
Dr. Lacayo is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Lacayo enjoys hiking, riding bike, kayaking, trying new restaurants and spending time with friends, family and loved ones.

This office lost a patient today because of their poor attitudes and questionable patient practices. I have been coming to this location for a very long time. Due to circumstances beyond my control, did not see a dentist for a number of years. I started back going here just a few months back. Unfortunately, this facility has really gone down the drain in terms of their attitudes toward patients and their professional demeanor. The staff attitudes at this place leave a lot to be desired, and they're probably going to refer you out to another dentist if you need anything done beyond a routine cleaning or something. I won't be back. I recommend you find other options. It's sad that Jacksonville's so-called medical offices are so bad, and this one just fits right in with the rest of the very poor medical industry and onslow county.

I came to Miller and Associates bc I have Medicaid as I am a single mom. I had two abscessed teeth, that I was told could only be repaired if I paid $4,000. And there was no other options.. the dentist actually told me I could always get them pulled and later implants would cost me about the same. I was literally in tears, thinking of pulling my front teeth until I could afford 4k. I asked if they could refer to anywhere to help me and they told me about ECU school of medicine.. however, they require a referral from the dentist EMAILED TO THEM, AND it's been a week, I've been in extreme pain. And no one has sent or will take 5 mins out of their day to send the referral. One lady called me back and claimed she faced it and I told her they specifically said it must be emailed they won't accept it in any other form. And here I sit in the ER now in such pain it's unreal, and of course the only people that can help me is Miller and Associates and no one will just send the referral over. I couldn't be more unhappy, or genuinely more in actual pain thanks to Miller and Associates for continuing to drag this out.

A white male doctor cracked my tooth and failed to tell me anything about it. I found out from rubbing my tongue against it, thinking it was part of the filling when i got home and immediately went to the bathroom mirror to check it out and sure enough my tooth is cracked. I would not recommend going here if you are A Person of color. they do not and will not care about you

I recently moved back to the area and needed somewhere that accepted my insurance. Right off the bat the ladies in the front office was extremely helpful and friendly. The Dr and the assistant was very kind and quick to get me in and out and fixed up. Definitely will be back with my kids.

This place is truly amazing, the people that work their are very professional , and make you feel right at home ! I can SMILE now , and I love it ! It's been 2-3 months mouth and gums are still in highly bad pain they will not prescribe any pain meds or fix the situation because they stuck me in my mouth with a needle and hit a nerve

Rude and unprofessional. The hygienist all seem nice but the two ladies that make the schedule and a third lady who was walking around were bad mouthing people the entire time I was there. When I spoke up about the behavior that was witnessed one of them got extremely aggitated offering up an all she said was.... excuse. The other two ladies set quietly the rest of the time I was in the office waiting on my children. I will not bring my children back here as they should not be subjected to such behavior by adults.

I have been with this facility for over 10 years now. My two children and I receive the best care and have a fantabulous relationship with the staff. They are always so kind and explain everything to the fullest to ease your nerves. Even in emergency situations they ensure you are seen in a very timely manner. Making sure that we are well taken care of and out of pain in a quickness. I highly recommend Miller and associates for all your dental needs. Awesome sauce service from beginning to the end. Oh, and don't let me forget, the joy of being able to go home with a goody bag! #theykeepmesmilin

Had an appointment today. Showed up at time of appointment which was 12:40. I called at 1:15 and I was going to be pulled in a minute. And here I am at 1:32 canceling my appointment due to not being seen. Idk what the break down was today however highly dissatisfied.

The most skilled staff with great outlooks not only in the practice of dentistry but life allowed the best experience I have ever had at the dentist. The staff at the front ensures that you are well taken care of in respect to time as well as the skilled dentists practicing dentistry. Overall the experience was well rounded and amazing I would return.

Dearest friends, I have been visiting this dental office 10 years. THE FIRST VISIT I MET SHANNA THOMAS THE RECEPTIONIST AND OFFICE MANAGER. I EXPLAINED DENTAL NEED AND MY PAIN. I was at that time rude and grouchy. Mrs. Thomas was so kind and professional. Even though I snapped at her several times because of my pain. Mrs. Thomas scheduled me the next day for my procedure. TO THIS DAY SHANNA AND JODI have helped me and 10 family members and numerous friends. ONLY POSITIVE AND KIND AND A CARING NURTURING IMPACT HAVE COME FROM THEM BOTH IN THE LAST TEN YEARS FOR ME. I will not speak for my family or their opinion. Instead, I asked them to give their honest opinion of each visitation. AS FAR AS WAITING IN YOUR CAR TO BE SEEN. I ALSO WAITED MY LAST VISIT AND praise God. Because, a lady was refused to be seen that had a fever was cussing and yelling and making a scene demanding to go in for treatment. Came to my car and said can you believe I cant be seen. I politely CRACKED my window and thru my mask spoke, OH YOU WERE SEEN SISTER now move on....... I AM NOT FRIENDS OR RELATED TO ANYONE AT THIS OFFICE. I HAVE BROUGHT THEM ALL CAKES AND COOKIES AND GIFTS FOR TEN YEARS FOR THEIR REAL LOVE AND SUPPORT THEY HAVE SHOWN ME AND MINE. THE TRUTH AND BEING A REAL PATIENT HERE SHOULD OUT WAY ANY NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE FEED BACK I READ ABOVE IN THE REVIEWS PROMPTING ME TO SHARE TRUTH OF EXPERIENCE AT THE JACKSONVILLE OFFICE. AND TO THE 3 PEOPLE WITH NEGATIVE REVIEW. My granny would say, "YOU ARE LYING THRU YOUR TEETH", and not worrying about your mouth!

This office a joke . Front staff rude. Two stars because the dentist/assistant nice . Expect to wait over a hour plus from time your appointment to be seen , they don't care.

I would recommend Miller and Associates Dentistry to all my friends and family. The employee's are very professional and friendly as well, they also are very good and knowledgeable of their jobs
