Christine M. Gadia, DDS, MS is a highly respected periodontist in the Chicagoland area. She is a licensed periodontist who is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Gadia was born and raised in the Chicagoland area and currently resides in Chicago with her family.

Dr. Gadia graduated Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She completed her general dentistry training in 2002 at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry and went on to receive her masters degree in Oral Sciences with an emphasis in Dental Biomaterials. Dr. Gadia continued her training by completing a Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery residency program in 2005, at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Dentistry. Dr. Gadia had been a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, in the Department of Periodontics and had additional training with the Pikos Institute for Advanced Surgery as well as Wilkodontics (Surgical Facilitated Orthodontic Treatment). Dr. Gadia continues to be involved in dental education, and is a Co-Leader for a Local Spear Education Study Club.

Dr. Farah Shakir grew up in the Wilmette suburb of Chicago. She completed her B.S. in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Illinois. She also achieved her Masters degree in Biotechnology from Rush University before going on to earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, Certificate in Periodontics, and Masters degree in Oral Science Research on Peri-Implant disease from the University of Illinois.

She has received numerous awards including: the Robert Savage Award, the American Student Dental Association Award for Excellence, the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Award, the International College of Dentists Humanitarian Award, and most notably the American Academy of Periodontology Award for Excellence and outstanding achievement.

Dr. Shakir is passionate about health, education, and community service. She specializes in the most current non-surgical, surgical periodontal and dental implant services. She is also certified in Intravenous conscious sedation.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, working out, spending time with family and friends, and is fluent in Arabic and Spanish. Dr. Shakir is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry.

Julianna P. Shamoon, DMD, is a licensed Periodontist who is focused on providing quality dental care to her patients. Dr. Shamoon grew up in the Northern Suburbs of Chicago and attended Loyola University Chicago where she graduated Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology. Dr. Shamoon continued her education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA where she held a position as a clinical teachers assistant and volunteered for community service organizations throughout her student dental career. Upon completion of her Dental degree, Dr. Shamoon was accepted as a General Practice Resident at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago, where she completed two years of training, which was heavily focused on Oral Surgery procedures.

Dr. Shamoon continued her training by completing a Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery Residency program at the Clement J. Zablocki and Milo C. Huempfner Veterans Affairs Hospitals, located in Milwaukee and Green Bay, respectively. Dr Shamoon believes in regularly continuing her dental education in order to better serve her patients and has attended annual meetings since the start of her General Dentistry and Periodontal training programs. Dr. Shamoon is preparing for the qualifying exam for her board certification in Periodontics. Dr. Shamoon currently holds a position at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Hospital as an Associate Program Director for the Dental Clinic. Dr. Shamoon is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontics (AAP). In her free time, Dr. Shamoon enjoys staying active, exploring the great city of Chicago, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs!

He pursued a rigorous joint clinical and research training program at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he earned both a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Oral Biology.

Dr. Mehrazarin received extensive surgical training and completed specialty residency training in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery and a Master of Science Degree in Periodontics at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. During his Periodontics residency, Dr. Mehrazarin was appointed as Chief Resident, and was awarded the Kenneth L. Siegel Award, Ralph S. Kaslick Award and the Appel Periodontics Medal for Excellence in Periodontics, the Biohorizons Periodontal Scholar Award, and was appointed as a Columbia University Visiting Professor Scholar.
