Have never had as much pain from a filling than from this office. Called to have them look at it and was told to brush with sensodyne. Gave them another chance, but then had to go to another dentist to repair two fillings where more than half of each tooth was removed for no apparent reason and he didn't remove all of the leftover filling material. I was completely shocked by how sloppy the work was. Also caused a permanent "pop" in my jaw after reefing on it. Checked the state board of dentistry after these incidents, and there were over 40 complaints (this was several years ago). Go here at your own risk!

I couldn't be happier with my first visit. While it's true if you're looking for sunshine and rainbows from the staff, this is probably not the place for you. The staff is blunt and to the point, but are extremely knowledgable, professional. And respectful. After exam and xrays I was given a detailed estimate. I need a lot of work done and was expecting the estimate to be high. The woman that was going over the estimate took the time to explain to me that my insurance should cover a certain amount, but they can not guarantee that insurance would. There is also a sign on the front desk stating that they can't guarantee insurance will cover costs. Anyway, she took the time to explain my options and make it clear that my particular issues aren't something that need to be handled all at once. She explained to me the stuff that would be best to have insurance try and cover and maybe some things I would want to pay out of pocket. Got a tooth pulled and have had minimal pain or discomfort. The folks at Millard do good work and I feel their prices are fair. I highly recommend them.

I wish I would have accompanied my husband to his appointment. I have been in the dental field for years, my husband just retired from the military and hasn't had to deal with civilian offices, insurance, estimates and treatment plans. We just moved from Ohio, where a DDS told him he needed a tooth extracted and replaced with an implant and crown. Wanting to use his benefit for the year he made an appointment with Dr. Millard. At his appointment the Dr. agreed that that was the treatment my husband needed. He informed my husband that he could extract the tooth and place a bone graft that day. They provided him with a treatment plan showing that the bone graft was a covered benefit at 50%. He agreed with the estimate and went forward with the treatment that day. Yesterday we received the EOB in the mail showing that a bone graft is not a covered benefit. I called them today to find out how they estimated the bone graft to be covered. The girl who answered the phone said that our plan says major services are covered at 50%. I asked her if she looked up the specific code, she said no, with an attitude. So I said, you gave my husband and estimate with out finding out if that code is a covered benefit? She raised her voice and said, it clearly says it is only an estimate, we never know what the insurance will do until they pay. I informed her that I have been in the dental field for years and that when we are going to perform a procedure that is not always covered by insurance it is customary practice to call the insurance and ask about that specific code. She very rudely said, so what is your question? I said, did you call the insurance and ask about that specific code. She said no, we don't do that unless specifically asked. She was being very rude and cutting me off. I asked to speak to the Office Manager to which she replied she is. So I told her she is very rude and unprofessional. She told me that she was not going to let me continue to yell at her. I was not yelling at her as I could hardly ask my questions without her cutting me off. I told her that my husband still has an implant and crown that need to be done and that we will be finding another DDS, as she was cutting me off and telling me that she doesn't think it is a good idea to have it done at Dr. Millards and that she was glad that someone else could deal with me...costing her DDS several thousand dollars this next year. I informed her that I would be speaking to her doctor to which she replied, good luck! I let her know I would also be leaving Yelp and other reviews about their office to which she said good, Merry Christmas....is there anything else? I hung up on her. Living in Klamath Falls there are limited options for dentists. If we need to travel to Medford or beyond to receive quality care from all staff members that is what we will do.

My first appt was cancelled and re set for fours days later and was called 15 min before appt time . Not good. My next appt I got there and was put in room for 45 min waiting as others were seen before me who were coming in 15 and 30 min after me. Then the receptionist comes in with a amount of 5k I will have to pay . Then she comes back saying $545 . So this was not a good experience. Hope gets better . Wow after reading reviews I think this was my first maybe last time I go there. I seem to not be alone in poor service and billing . Maybe they need to review some of these reviews and make some changes. The staff not very friendly at all. Did give me much on what to do after my visit which I had 2 teeth pulled and bone graft , had to look on internet as what to do Update 1/28/2020 Had teeth cleaned all went well. I need a lot of work and I know that Doctor explained all good. Then the billing once again said I owed another $260 from last visit that was told my insurance paid half as I already paid my half . So I questioned this and I paid the amount of $267. I asked why am I owing this amount . My answer was insurance paid 50% . I said I paid my 50% but now i'm ending up paying 75% ?? So now my answer was FIND ANOTHER DENTIST WE DON'T WANT YOU COMING BACK !!! WOW. She even had a form to give me to sign to have my records transferred. I asked what is this she said this is the form we give to customers that we don't want back . Now that's impressive to have a handy form available to get rid of customers who have questions ... Because I questioned my amount I owe .. I would never recommend this Dentist office to anyone . I was in shock they want me to use another dentist over my question on the billing .. I never ever had any billing problems with any dentist in my life and never had a bad experience at a dentist office in my life until I went to Millard Dental. Guess a first for everything in life . Good luck in future to staff at Millard Dental at this rate it might have to close over losing or telling customers to leave and not come back. Also i'm not one to write a review but I think people need to know about this place . So now i'm looking at what my insurance is being billed for and it's things Doctor talked about that I was supposed to come back to have done. Looks like $230 and I can't get them to do the work I paid for . This place is out of control !!! Update 6/5/2020 Now 5 months later I get automated text saying it's time to come in for my cleaning .. Is this place a joke or what !! So glad I found another Dentist in town that is compassionate and knows how to read insurance billing .

I'm not a man who leaves reviews for various reasons especially on Christmas but I must call out this man Millard that caused harm to my mom who was up crying all night from the pain he caused her by his direct incompetence. We had moved here last year and didn't know where to start looking for those you need to get along in life such as mechanic, dentist, doctor, etc but someone who heard our story said next time be more careful by always checking with the state board of dentistry first and for doctors the state physicians board. after hearing that we did it and anyone considering Millard office for dentistry should look first on board of dentistry website since reading painful stories from others and they won the case against this awful dentist who graduated from what school? had we used our common sense my mom would be okay and be able to enjoy Christmas with the family. Millard I'm sure is enjoying his Christmas with the money he made off my mom but we will be getting a attorney next year to get that money back. Millard will be getting plenty this way when our attorney is done with him.

I don't like saying bad things unless I absolutely have to. The one star is sufficient rather than mean words. I just know that fessing up to mistakes isn't easy, but when someone has been hurt by a mistake, I know for me there's no possible way I could live with myself knowing I caused harm to someone and didn't make it right.

Dr. Millard refused to clean my teeth since I am not allowed to have x-rays due to an extremely rare medical condition. Dr. Millard told me that it was Oregon state law that I have x-rays taken prior to having my teeth cleaned. That is a lie. (I checked with the Oregon Dental Commission) He also belittled me and tried to make me feel that I had no understanding of my own rare condition. He said that he needed to take x-rays to see if I have mouth cancer (even though I have no symptoms of mouth cancer). On top of this, I had given his office 6 weeks notice that I could not have x-rays. No one said that would be a problem. Since this unpleasant experience, I have found a dentist that cares enough about my well-being that she has called my specialist in Seattle to see what is best for my unique situation when providing me dental care.

I had friends traveling through Klamath. They needed an emergency appointment for an abscessed tooth. Dr. Millard's office staff got her in, treated both my friends wonderfully and got the tooth extracted and them back on the road in short order. It's good to have Dr. Millard and his staff so helpful on short notice. Thanks to you all

This place was very overpriced. Tried to charge me 600 dollars for 2 fillings. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Lied to me about my total and sent me to collections for the remaining balance.
