At Mill Creek Children's Dentistry, Dr. Shenfield provides dental care to kids in a warm and anxiety-free environment. We believe that happy smiles come from healthy teeth, and love sharing our philosophy in a fun and engaging manner with your child! Our office was designed with your child's health and comfort in mind. We have a fun and engaging play area, kid-friendly technology like digital x-rays and nitrous oxide (we call it silly air!), and an office favorite, picking a post-visit treat from the toy box!
Committed to being the best pediatric dentist he can be, Dr. Shenfield is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association, and the Washington State Association of Pediatric Dentistry. He has served as president and secretary of the Seattle Pediatric Dental Society and the Evergreen Pediatric Dental Study Club. Dr. Shenfield is also an affiliate instructor with the University of Washington Pediatric Dentistry Department and is on staff with the Department of Dental Medicine at Children's Hospital.
Dr. Shenfield gives back to the community by supporting the Walk for Autism, Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and the Children's Defense Fund. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar and bass, pretending to be a triathlete, defending his family against spiders and boating. His greatest gifts are his beautiful wife of 20 years, Tracie, and their daughters Lily and Evie.
Dr. Shenfield earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and Master of Science in Dentistry degree from the University of Washington. He also completed a residency in pediatric dentistry at Seattle Children's Hospital.

Update review: My son is now 4 years old and gets so excited to go see his dentist. The entire staff went above and beyond to make sure he had a fun and safe experience today. 5 stars, 2 years later :) Thank ya'll Original review: Today was my sons first dentist appointment here. It was awesome! The staff was so nice and had alot of energy. The Doctor was also very nice and patient with my 2 year old. I would recomend this dentist to all moms. Cartoons, peppa pig toothbrush.. booyah!

Mill Creek Children's Denistry continues to be such a great place, the staff is kind and very informative, they continue to check that my kids are doing ok during cleanings, explaining the process along the way. They are very timely and efficient, which the kids and I appreciate. And the dentist always takes time to answer questions and keep us informed of any concerns as they grow. The front desk staff has been a delight and very easy to help book appointments and knows our insurance timelines. Overall, this place is great! I'd highly recommend!

Highly respected Dentist! Outstanding Team! Dr. Leland Shenfield and team can be categorized as "the Experts" when it comes to pediatric dentistry. He has cared for my boys teeth for more than 17 years. Mill Creek Children's Dentistry takes the time required to produce the best outcomes. My boys have never had a cavity!

We absolutely love Milk Creek Children's Dentistry! My 3 year old absolutely hated getting his teeth brushed, it was a fight every night. MCCD has made brushing fun and going to the dentist is a treat! Every one of the staff are so kind and amazing with the kids, they are gentle, silly, and always give him a balloon to take home!

Over the last 10 years I have been taking my kids to see Dr. Shenfield and we have been treated with respect. Dr. Shenfield and his staff are always top notch. They leave the technical jargon to themselves and really take the time to explain things in a more understandable way to a child. The office is up to date, and I appreciate the safety precautions they have taken to protect the patients, families, and staff. They have TV's at each chair so that your child can choose the movie they want to watch. My kids say their only complaint is that they didn't have enough time to watch the movie. That's because there has never been a wait more than 5 minutes to be taken back to our appointments, and the staff is so quick and experienced that they get his teeth cleaned in a timely manner but with precision. Thank you so much Dr. Shenfield and staff for a terrific dental experience.

I have a kiddo with Autism and selective mutism. Mill Creek Children's Dentistry has been consistently awesome with him over the years. They really know how to support kiddos with unique needs.
