As a dentist, I am passionate about helping my patients achieve the smile of their dreams through my artistic skills and technical abilities. Whether it is moving teeth to create a straighter smile, construction of dentures for a patient with missing teeth, or getting a patient out of pain, the gratitude from the person who is now able to smile confidently again is worth the effort.

Devoted to helping each person she cares for toattain and maintain great oral healthalong with a beautiful smile, Dr. Janna Spahr is an exceptional dentist. She believes in working with each patient to determine their unique clinical needs and to understand their reasons forseeking dental care, and then creates custom treatment plans that are right for their specific situation.

Knowing that an educated patient is best able to make good decisions about their oral healthcare, Dr. Spahr focuses on patient education, to helpher patients learn about the connection between a healthy mouth and overall wellness. She also focuses on preventive care, knowing that stopping problems before they start, and correcting small issues before they become large ones, allows a patient to keep their teeth, and have a beautiful smile, for years.

Each year, Dr. Spahr participates in numerous continuing education offerings to stay current with technology and procedures that improve treatment results for her patients. She has studied orthodontic training through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, and Invisalign training for general dentists, as well aspursued additional training in oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, endodontics and periodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and whole-mouth reconstruction.

Dr. Spahr lives in Milfordwith her husband, Dr. Jeff Spahr, and their daughters, Savannah and Sarah, as well as two dogs, a cat,and a flock of chickens and guineas. In the summer, youll find her working the garden, and year-round she is a taxi driver for her daughters various activities. She loves watching her girls play sports and dance. When she has the time, Dr. Spahr enjoys golfing and playing volleyball and basketball.

Dr. Jeff Spahr received his undergraduate degree at Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1994. He studied at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry and graduated in 1998 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Jeff is strongly interested in advanced training in oral surgery, endodontics, and dental implantology.

Dr. Jeff purchased the dental practice of Dr. Clayton Peters at our current location in 1998, and began practice as Milford Dental Clinic thatSeptember. He and his wife, Dr. Janna Spahr, work together as a dental team to provide for our patients dental needs with a combined 32 years of dental practice experience.

Dr. Jeff and Dr. Janna were married in July 2001. They have two daughters, Savannah and Sarah, in addition to two dogs, one cat, and a flock of chickens and guineas. They enjoy spending most of their free time together as a family.

Having grown up on a farm in rural Seward, Dr. Jeff loves home-improvement projects, spending time outdoors, hunting, and gardening. He also enjoys playing golf in the summer and watching his daughters play various sports.

As a dentist, I have the opportunity to help each person in my chair. Oral health is closely tied to body wellness, and the appearance of a smile can impact a persons self-esteem. I want the best for each patient I have the honor to treat: health, happiness, and a smile they love to share!

I especially enjoy working with people who have dental-related anxiety. In listening to their worries, I learn what they need to overcome the fears. As we work together, I help individuals learn that todays dentistry is comfortable and they have nothing to worry about. Earning a persons trust helps them feel safe and empowers them to take better care of their health.

Dr. Matulka attended Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Arizona, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). Dental school provided Dr. Matulka with a solid foundational understanding of oral health, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and methodologies.

Dentistry, though, like all areas of healthcare, is a constantly changing field. A lifelong learner, Dr. Matulka seeks opportunities to further develop his knowledge, skills, and the services he provides.

Through meetings, seminars, lectures, and online courses, Dr. Matulka learns from leading practitioners in oral healthcare. He also keeps abreast of trends and research through dental journals and other publications. By studying and evaluating new techniques, materials, and technologies, Dr. Matulka is able to incorporate proven options into his patients care.

When hes not seeing patients, or reading about the latest developments in dental care, Dr. Matulka values time with family and friends. He enjoys fishing with his father, working in the garden, and watching Husker football Go Big Red!

Dr. Katie Starostka received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She furthered her education at Midwestern University Dental College in Arizona, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015.

Dr. Katie grew up in Grand Island. Dental school took her to Phoenix, AZ. She loved the weather and outdoor activities, but her family drew her back home. Following dental school, she practiced in Council Bluffs, IA before settling back in Nebraska.

In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys reading and being creative. She tries to see her family as much as possible and loves to travel. She is excited to meet and care for the great people of Milford, Lincoln, and the surrounding areas.
