Both our doctors, Dr. Miles and Dr. Tehle, hail from the midwest and have a passion for serving the Illinois community. They lead the practice by prioritizing our patients above all else and contributing to the community.

Dr. Miles began our practice after serving nearly 30 years in the military. After Desert Storm and Desert Shield, Dr. Miles completed his undergraduate study at the University of Kentucky. He went on to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he obtained his D.M.D. IN 2005, Dr, Miles started his private practice, Miles Family Dental, in Antioch, IL. He has since grown the practice into three locations. He believes in staying on the cutting-edge of dentistry and giving back to the community.

Dr. Tehle grew up in Palatine, IL before moving to Milwaukee, WI to attend Marquette University for his undergraduate study. He continued his education at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, where he obtained his D.D.S. He values continuing his education and learning more about cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Dr. Tehles caring nature is exhibited in the quality relationships he establishes with each of his patients.

To maintain their licensure, our hygienists annually attend continuing education courses focused on new techniques and treatments. I am originally from Elkhorn, Wi. I have been a Dental Assistant for 14 years and have worked with Dr. Miles for over 8 years. My patients have always been my passion and striving to keep them comfortable is my goal.

I have been a front desk and chairside dental assistant for 6 years. I graduated from Triton College in River Grove, IL. I love my job. It is a very rewarding career. The ability to help people and see them smile is fantastic.

I have been a dental hygienist at Miles Family Dental for almost 10 years. My favorite part of my job is interacting with patients and really getting to know them while providing them with the best oral health care possible. I am also a clinical instructor at the College of Lake County in the Dental Hygiene program where I get to share my passion for my profession with future dental hygienists.

I have been married to my husband John for almost 22 years and we have 4 amazing children- Kennedy, Hannah, Maiah and Quade. With 2 of them in college and 2 in high school we rarely have a dull moment. In my spare time you would likely catch me at a baseball field, volleyball court or just spending time with my family no matter what and where we are.

I graduated from the University of Texas Health Science from Houston, Texas in 1991. I joined Miles Family Dental over 2 years ago. My husband and I have 5 adult children and 1 dog. I enjoy providing quality and thorough hygiene procedures, while building and maintaining positive and professional relationships with all my patients, ensuring lifetime care and the patients excellent dental experience.

I joined Miles Family Dental team in 2019 and love that we treat each other like family. I grew up in sunny Florida, but my roots extend from Chicago. I moved back to Illinois in 2004, but am still trying to get used to the harsh winters! I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2012 with a Bachelors degree in Public Health and then received my A.A.S. in Dental Hygiene in 2016 from The College of Lake County. My love of science and research inspire me to study the newest techniques and treatments to give my patients the best care!

I have worked for Miles Family Dental since 2015. I enjoy working behind the scenes in guiding our patients to a better understanding of their insurance. I strive to make sure our patients are well taken care of and I am very lucky to work with such an amazing team who helps do just that!

I have worked with Miles Family Dental for almost a year. I love working with and getting to know our patients as well as learning many aspects of our office. Being able to answer questions and help our patients to make their visit a more pleasant and seamless experience will continue to be my goal.

I have been with Miles Family Dental for over 13 years and have been in the Dental Field for 23 years. I enjoy working with our patients and assisting with any questions they may have so they can achieve the smile they want and deserve.

When Im not in the office, I am with my fianc and our vivacious 3-year-old son. We love the outdoors and spend most of our time playing outside with our three dogs. Hobbies include cooking, watching movies and playing with makeup!

I am a Dental Hygienist and completed my education at the College of Lake County in 2016. I am very grateful to have found such a great place to work and so close to home! During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. When Im not doing that, I love snowmobiling during the winter months and working part time at a restaurant throughout the summer months.

I was born and raised in South Texas located near the Gulf of Mexico. Shortly after high school I began my career in the dental field holding positions from receptionist, medical billing and ultimately dental assisting when I realized I wanted to become a hygienist. My passion in the dental field led me to attend Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, Texas where I earned my degree in dental hygiene.

After earning my degree, I began working for two local dental practices: a periodontist office where I worked as a hygienist on some of South Texass toughest dental cases and a pediatric dental practice. After 20 plus years of working in South Texas, my family and I moved to Gurnee, IL.

I moved to Gurnee with my husband Eric, our youngest son, and rescue dog Bella. I also have two older boys who have started their own families. While not at work you can probably find me reading, walking on the beach, and traveling. I am bilingual (Spanish) and pride myself on a strong work ethic, a trait I received from my parents.

Dr. Jeffrey P. Miles was born and raised in the small town of Ontonagon, located on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigans Upper Peninsula. He spent a considerable amount of time serving in the military, nearly 30 years. He was active duty enlisted in the U.S. Army for 11 years serving as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant with 5th Special Forces, Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

After returning from Desert Shield and Desert Storm, he left the Army to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky. He then attended the University Of Louisville School Of Dentistry and obtained his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) in 1999. While at the University of Louisville, Dr. Miles graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors as well winning the Deans Award. He served as Class President for 4 years.

Dr. Miles was awarded a 4-year Navy scholarship while attending dental school. Upon graduation, he completed a one year General Practice Residency (GPR) at Naval Hospital Great Lakes, Illinois. He then spent 6 years active duty with the U.S. Navy. After a total of 17 years of active service, he served the remainder of his military career with the Wisconsin Air Guard and Wisconsin Army National Guard. Dr. Miles retired from the military in Oct 2015 at the rank of Colonel.

In 2005, Dr. Miles entered private practice with the construction of a new office in Antioch, IL. Since then, the practice has since grown into three locations with the opening of the Richmond office in 2013, and our newest location Winthrop Harbor has been open since 2017.

Dr. Miles feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, he maintains memberships in many professional dental organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also pursuing interests in Forensic Odontology.

To give back to his community, Dr. Miles and his hygienists visit local schools during February, Kids National Dental Health Month, to give presentations about the importance of excellent oral hygiene. Dr. Miles also volunteers with local charities and sponsors multiple organizations.
