From check in with office administration, to chair side with the doctor and assistant, we all want you, the patient, to know we are listening and ready to treat you in a professional and relaxed manner. We want to field your questions and concerns, so that you will not only understand the treatment you need, but also be willing to have it done. This can be a trying time for people, and rest assured we are happy to speak to any and all concerns for your total understanding and acceptance.
Dr.Mikkelsenhasover 30years of experience practicing general dentistry. The main concern is total integration of periodontal health and restorative function.Aestheticsare a large part of modern dental practice, but only when the foundational structures will allow it. Our new patients receive thorough screenings for cancer of the oral cavity, radiographs for unseen or untreated disease, and periodontal evaluations for long term stability of the dentition. It is our goal to treat to a maintenance standard, not just an emergency or disease care standard. Once a patient is healthy in maintenance, dental care is usually a breeze.
My office manager, Shannon, has more than adecade of experience with front office and treatment planning coordination. She is well versed in insurance programming, and will do everything she can to help you understand and maximize your benefit. You wont find a more knowledgeable or friendly individual on administration side of a dental practice, and we are lucky to have her with us.

He refused to try to recement a perfectly good crown and only gave me a diagnosis of the most expensive procedure

Going to the dentist is really anxiety provoking for me. They were so kind and checked in every step of the way to make sure I was comfortable. Also, my teeth have never looked cleaner.

I have been going to Mikkelson for almost 10 years regularly and I have always been completely satisfied with results. All fillings, caps, and cleanings are extremely reliable.

Went to Dr. Mikkelsen a couple of months ago. Beautiful office, wonderful staff and Dr. Mikkelsen was fantastic. He had to give me a shot of Novicane, and I would say without a doubt it was the least painful with the best numbing results I had ever had. Simply wonderful!
