Dr. Michael Shannon is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (Board Certified) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Mike completed his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston part of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center. He attended dental school at The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Dr. Mike completed his undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University in Malibu, where he was a member of their 1992 National Championship Men's Volleyball Team. Since completing his pediatric dental training Dr. Mike has worked in private practice, as well as served as a faculty member at the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston.
Born and raised in Southern California Dr. Mike is excited to be back in Orange County. He currently resides in San Clemente with his wife Samantha and sons Spencer and Owen. Dr. Mike enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and longboarding.
Dr. Mike is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society.

We love Dr Mike! He's great with kids and super trustworthy. He does not rush to do any procedures and is honest. My kids really love going and I am thankful we have a dentist I can trust.

This place Is amazing!!! My children have been seeing Dr Mike since they were super young and now they're 16 and 18. Dr Mike and staff talks you through every step. Everyone is patient and very kind. Because of them, my boys don't dread the dentist. They've always looked at their experience as a positive one. Thank you!!!

My two girls have been coming here since they got their first tooth so very young. They absolutely love going to the dentist and are always excited to know they are getting their teeth cleaned. We love the staff and excellent service they always provide. They are super sweet two both my girls and Dr. Shannon is the kindest, most patient and sweetest doctor. We feel very lucky we found Dr. Shannon. The office is beautifully decorated and it truly matches the warm and friendly ambience in the office.

What a difference! My kids loved their appointment and can't stop talking about how kind and helpful everyone was. It's nice to find a pediatric dentist who slows down and even chats with the kids.

I am a Dentist, but my daughter has some special needs that I feel are best met by a specialist like Dr. Shannon. This office works miracles for kids! I am so impressed with how they have been able to take our daughter from being unwilling to even sit in a dental chair, to placing fillings on her with no trouble at all. She now looks forward to her cleanings and all other appointments with Dr. Shannon and his amazing team. Thank you to an all-star Doctor and team!
