Dr. Mike Mizell, a native of Palestine, TX, has had the distinct honor of helping to shape the faces and smiles of more than 16,000 Houstonians since 1990. For him, orthodontics is a passion, and he feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy the challenges and rewards that the profession offers. Without a doubt, he most enjoys the chance to develop relationships with so many wonderful people and families.
Dr. Mizells education did not stop with his graduation from orthodontic school. Understanding that continuing education is the key to providing the highest quality of treatment for our patients, he stays current with the latest techniques and technologies in orthodontics. That includes attending numerous professional meetings and seminars each year. In addition to educational opportunities, Dr. Mizell stays abreast of his fields as a member of the following local and national professional organizations:
Dr. Mizell has been married to hisbeautiful wife, Chris, since 1991. They have been blessed with two wonderful children, Carter and Caroline, andhave lovedspending time coaching and watching their kids sporting activities. In addition, Dr Mizellenjoys volunteering time forhis church, hischildrens schools and local non-profit groups. When hes not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Mizelllikes hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
Most of our patients feel as if Ashley is a member of their family. Her smile has been seen in our office since 1996! Ashley, who is RDA-certified, originally began working with Dr. Mizell as a clinical assistant, so she is familiar with all aspects of our office. For Ashley, the opportunity to get to know and watch our patients grow from children to young adults is what makes every day special. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working in her yard, interior decorating, and spending time with her husband and family.
Jenna, who joined our team in 2012 after fifteen years of experience in the field, maintains patient records and takes impressions, X-rays, and photos. She also helps out with patients in the clinic and the lab when needed. Being able to build great relationships with our patients and seeing how far they have come during the course of their treatment is her favorite aspect of her job. In her spare time, Jenna loves to cook, spend time with her family, and go running.
Terri has been working as an orthodontic assistant for over 26 years and joined our team in 2007. A people person, she enjoys meeting all our patients and getting to know them during the course of their treatment. In her spare time, Terri loves jogging, fishing, country dancing, and spending time with her friends and family.
Georgie is an asset to our office with over 30 years of experience in orthodontics. Georgie enjoys supporting our team in any way possible, allowing all team members to better focus on the well being and comfort of each and every patient. After work and on weekends, you will find Georgie at sporting events and school functions for her grand children, or spending family time at the beach.
Elena came to our office with ten years of orthodontic experience. Elena works alongside Dr. Mizell and loves to watch our patients progress through treatment. One of the highlights of Elenas day is when she gets to talk about orthodontic treatment with her daughter, a former patient and aspiring Orthodontist! Outside of work, Elena is known to travel, hit the gym, or just spend time with her family.
