Dr. Mike has been carefully listening to patients, considering their needs and their budget, and then partnering with them in maintaining their dental health. Whether you have dental insurance or not, we will do everything to provide you with the excellent care you deserve.
Dr. Mike is a graduate of the University of Missouri University/ Kansas City, 1990. He received his DDS from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1992 in Atlanta, GA. He received advanced training as a Dental Resident at Emory University and Advanced Certifications in Implant Dentistry. He worked in partnership with Dr. Harold Ridge for ten years, prior to coming to Daniel Island.
Married for to the lovely Christina, they have 2 children Kayla and Kyle. The entire family shares Dr. Mike's passion for biking. He has logged thousands of miles racing and touring on his bikes. He shares his love of this hobby gladly, and even his office is decor reflects his love of bikes!

Dr. Bannister and his staff are the best! While, my latest visit was cleaning and checkup, as a long time patient, I have been very pleased, over the years, with more extensive treatments. I have utmost confidence in Dr Bannister! I highly recommend! Hygienist Sue Ann has the magic touch, while being thorough!

have been to Dr. Bannister 3 times in the last 2 months, for myself for routine cleaning, my daughter for tooth grinding and my son for discoloration of his tooth and Dr. Bannister has been amazing! He is so friendly and informative and I have complete confidence in his expertise. The staff is very friendly too. Would highly recommend Dr. Bannister!

Always greeted promptly at my appointment time. The staff is very friendly and makes me feel comfortable on each visit. Dr Bannister takes the time to check things and answer any questions I might have. What more could you ask for in a dental office?

If you have ever had an unpleasant trip to the dentist Dr. Bannister is the dentist for you. He is very patient and talks you through every thing he is doing. His staff was very professional and friendly. I will certify this office as a very chicken friendly zone.

Mike is awesome. Great guy and always letting you know what he is doing and why! I have been a client for over 10 years. Even during these days of Covid, my check up appt with Dr. Bannister was perfect, as always. They are taking all the safety precautions necessary including a detailed, yet easy, check in procedure.

Dr. Bannister is a very good/thorough dentist...answers all your questions and you don't feel hurried. Sue Ann is my dental hygienist and is as good as they come. I feel good with this office as I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off.

Visited today for a crown installation. New Covid 19 prevention procedures were excellent. The staff, as always, were friendly and helpful and the procedure was completed quickly and professionally. What more could you ever ask from a dental practice?
