Had my wisdom teeth removed here- the facility is very nice, the doctor who did my surgery was awesome, and all the nurses were exceptionally professional. My experience with the medial side of this practice was very easy, and I would recommend it to anyone. HOWEVER The billing and accounting side of the practice leaves much to be desired. I was assured that all costs and charges were taken care of the day of my procedure, including all of the parts covered by my insurance. I signed papers stating that I agreed to the costs, and paid before the procedure. A week later, I got a bill for another $198. I was confused, I thought I had already agreed on the costs and paid in full. I called to ask for clarification. Nobody answered, so I left a message asking for a phone call to help explain the additional costs. Rather than call me back and explain what remained unpaid, and why their estimate was so far off, they sent me an email demanding payment, with no further explanation. I feel that was unprofessional.

Dr Wees and his team were amazing. The nurses made me comfortable and eased any anxiety I had prior to going under. Both, doctor and nurse, explained everything in layman terms so anyone can understand the procedure and risks. They also were able to schedule a consultation/surgery less than 24 hrs from when my dentist sent the referral and x-rays, which is mind boggling this day in age. Five hours post op, Dr Wees called me personally to check up and to make sure that I was doing well. I hope to never have oral surgery again but if I do, I will be coming back here. I have nothing but excellent things to say about my experience with this team of professionals. Dr Wees and nursing team, keep up the great work, I truly appreciate the professionalism and expertise

This was the most unnecessarily stressful situation when I was already in pain and stressed. I appreciate them working with my schedule, but that's about it. I called in advance and confided to them that the weekend previous to my wisdom tooth extraction app, my bf and I had been exposed to covid. I showed absolutely zero symptoms but wanted to make sure that they felt comfortable with it, and that I would heal okay after the surgery. I was told 2 different times this would be fine so long as I showed no symptoms. When I arrived, they had no problem taking my payment. But when I was taken back, I was literally mid bite onto the CT scan and they inappropriately ran in to tell the dental assistant that I needed to go to the waiting room immediately. Even the dental assistant was like um... well she is literally in the middle of the scan.. I think that's the only reason I even got that done before they questioned me about the covid situation. They said they weren't informed, I asked how they knew if they weren't informed then...? They told me that they were told my bf had covid, and because of that I couldn't have the surgery done. I told them they could take my temp and test me if I wanted, but I was told I was fine to go so long as I showed no symptoms. I expressed being upset because I had even called right before showing to my app, I had taken work off for this, if this had been such a huge concern. Why wait immediately before my procedure to deny me? They would not even let me speak to the dentist, I was basically just kicked out without explanation of why I was lied to when I tried to call beforehand and make sure this was all okay. The dentist called me later and told me that wasn't even the main reason to me having my app rescheduled. He said it was due to the ct scan showing a failed crown, not me needing my wisdom teeth taken out. But why was I kicked out before the scan even showed my results then? The whole thing was so inappropriate and I'm still in pain for no reason. The only reason the dentist had called me back is because I kept asking them to have him call me, and eventually they told me he left without even doing so. So the only reason he called in the first place was because I was pressuring them to give me an answer.

I was referred to Midwest Oral Surgery for a tooth extraction by my dentist. The consultation appointment went very well. All options were laid out. The staff was very pleasant to work with while giving all the detail information I needed to make my decision on the path forward to extract the tooth.

I came in to have a cracked molar removed. I was treated by everyone with friendliness and helpfulness. Dr Wewel removed it painlessly and Emily as well as each of the other staff were great. I would not hesitate to go to them again.

Dr. Wewel and staff were great with my son's wisdom teeth removal. Incredibly efficient process. Felt a little rushed through the process and didn't understand all the Instructions but they were responsive to my questions and concerns.

My first encounter with Midwest was in 2019. I had a cracked tooth extraction. I was given a local anestetic and it was the most wonderful dental experience I have ever had in my almost 80 years! I would highly recommend Midwest to anyone!

I recently had two appointments @ Midwest Oral Surgery - one for a consultation and the other for a procedure. I was struck by how warm and helpful everyone was, starting with the receptionists and the financial resource person. They were kind, helpful and welcoming. Delani and Nessa were exceptional in preparing me for the consultation with Dr. Anderson answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. Dr. Anderson made me feel immediately comfortable with is easy and approachable style. The day of the procedure Melissa and Jordan got me prepped and worked with Dr. Anderson to make this go as smoothly as possible. I can't say enough good things about this team and the experience I had at MOS.

I was referred to Omaha oral surgery for my boys to get their wisdom teeth taken out - the day before their procedure Omaha oral surgery gave me the out of pocket estimate and said they will not bill my medical insurance until after the procedure and my dental hardly covered any of the procedures. My health insurance covered all of it so I decided to find a new surgeon who would process under my medical insurance and dental. Midwest Oral Surgery was on it and my out of pocket is ZERO for both boys to get wisdom teeth out. Omaha oral surgery wanted almost $1,000/kid. Our consult was today and the boys will have their surgery next week. They are not looking forward to the experience but I am! :)
