Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

I've been going to this office for more than 20 years and never been disappointed . Many of the employees have been there longer. That tells me it is a good place to work and good place to go to. Never disappointed.

My family and I have been coming to see Dr.Z for over 10 years. We love the family atmosphere and quality service Dr. Z and his staff delivers every visit. Last appointment we were disappointed to not see Nick and Annette in the office. They were missed and we hope they come back soon because the front desk is not the same without them.

I happily take my whole family there for everything from expanders to and very likely upcoming braces, occasional cavities (or rootcanals on us grown ups) and they are calm and work so well as a team and put us at ease and are very, very clear about how much our out-of-pocket expense will cost and how much our insurance will cover. I love that they are a family oriented company and highly recommend them. They get us in the best the can if there is ever a problem, too. :) Thanks a bunch to Dr. Z and their awesome team!

I am a healthcare worker and understand how important timeliness of patient arrival is to sticking on schedule and having a smooth flow of the day. I arrived 10 minutes late to one of the last appointments on a Friday and had to use the bathroom when I arrived...Worst patient etiquette ever! The staff did not say anything negative to me and just went about their jobs-which I so appreciated as I was embarrassed by my tardiness! They treated me effectively and efficiently and most importantly kindly. Thank you all for a great experience. Then at the end of my appointment I realized I forgot my dental insurance card at home...again terrible patient! They front desk staff were so patient and kind to me! Thank you all for a 5-star experience!

Dr Z has been my dentist for over 20 years. He is absolutely outstanding! He has exceeded my expectations every single time. My biggest fear is that someday he will retire and I'lll have to find a new dentist--he would be a tough act to follow.

I have been coming to Dr. Z for many years and have been very happy with his work. Tina has been my hygienist the entire time and she is the best. She is always right on time , never have to wait. She is very gentle and never leave with any discomfort, just a bright smile. I actually look forward to my twice a year visits.

I highly recommend Midwest Dental West Dundee. The people are great. Dr. Stojanovic, Tina (dental hygienist), and the other staff that have helped me are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been with other dentist before and Dr. Stojanovic and Tina are hands down much better than the others I had. I have been with them for over 3 years and will stay with them.

I love this place. It's weird because when I go there they drill holes in my teeth or yank them out. He only thing that hurts is the shots. Got my wisdom teeth out 6 months ago. It took Dr. S literally 9 minutes to do both of them. I felt nothing, and had 0 pain while recovering. I have a tooth that needs a crown, and I am fine with it. I know it will go well, and it won't put me in the poor house. The staff is friendly, and knows thier trade.
