Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Today was my first visit. I was nervous because I have recessed gums and sensitive teeth, but both the Hygienist and Dentist had gentle hands which makes me feel relieved. Everyone was so nice, compassionate and professional. The Dentist took time to answer my questions and shared so much knowledge and advice for my care, more than I've ever received at any other office. I am so happy to have found another dentist since mine just retired right on the first try! This will definitely be my regular clinic.

I had a good first visit here. Dr. Heydt was very informative and kind. Kylie and Veronica were great too. My only complaint is the amount of texts and e-mails I receive from Midwest Dental regarding upcoming appointments. It's a little excessive.

I knew I needed a lot of work on my teeth from years of neglect and have been embarrassed to seek help because of that, but the staff never made me feel judged. I am love the staff and the dentist. Dr. Mondry has been my dentist for the past 3-4 years. I travel about 40 minutes away to see her because she is the absolute best dentist I have ever had. Before her, I had a strong phobia of dental care. I believe Dr. Mondry and her staff have allowed me to feel comfortable with dental care. I am very thankful to have them as my dental team.

I came here based on how great their reviews are and I was not disappointed. Every staff member was extremely nice, made sure I was fully taken care of & understood everything that was going on in my mouth. Also, Molly is awesome!!! I have extremely sensitive teeth and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. If you need an incredible dental clinic, GO HERE! I can't stress enough how good of an experience I had- and I usually really dislike going to the Dentist. Many thanks to everyone here!!

I still make the drive to the Midwest Dental office in West St. Paul, though we moved away from the area and now live in downtown Minneapolis. They are a friendly and fun group of professionals who give the clinic a bit of a small town feel. Dr. Mondry is very capable and efficient, and the staff is much the same. I have as much fun as is possible when visiting the dentist!
