As a new patient I had a routine cleaning, and came back for fillings done by Dr. Ami Shah. She made me feel very comfortable. The fillings were perfectly adjusted, which made me realize that a previous dentist had once left them too high and I ended up feeling them for over 6 months. Maribel at the front desk called to let me know of an earlier slot available which was great. Also, very grateful for the Fluoride Trays! Thank you!!

Before you read the whole review, I want you know that I am a dentist and I am very picky about who I choose to work on me. I have met many dentists in my career, and I only let Dr. Bouri treat me. He has placed an implant in my lower jaw. As a dentist myself, I can tell you that he is incredibly talented in what he does. He has in him something more than can be taught at school. Dr. Bouri is an exceptional periodontist. Besides having excellent credentials, and a state-of-the-art office, he is a very thorough dentist. You feel that right from the moment he looks into your mouth. He's very good at explaining what is going on in your mouth, why it happened and what can be done to treat it, or even to prevent it from happening again. He pays very close attention to the area in question, but also makes sure that the treatment is long lasting. During the procedure itself, he is calm, kind, and walks you thru every single step... If there is an issue, or even if you're anxious about something, he'll see you right away and address it. I wouldn't trust anyone else, and I hope you won't either.

I cannot say enough great things about this practice! The staff is extremely welcoming and comforting to their patients. I initially saw Dr. Bouri under painful circumstances, he made the experience comfortable and took the time to explain in detail what needed to be done. I was absolutely thrilled that the practice added a general dentist so I could continue to be a patient for routine care. This practice got it right with this one, he is equally as friendly and thorough as Dr. Bouri. If you want to go to a practice that has a warm vibe, welcoming staff and doctors who are not rushing you out the door because of an overbooked schedule...then Midwest Dental Specialists is worth the visit!
