Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

I hate having teeth drilled and filled. But this has been the greatest experience I ever had. The dentist and technician were kind, knowledgeable ,my mouth was actually frozen so except for the vibration I didn't feel a thing. Thanks to all at Shawano Midwest Dentistry.

Excellent experience! For a person who is not fond of dentists and has anxiety when I know I need to go in I have found that the whole staff is kind and concerned about you as a patient. From the front staff (Shannon, Holly, Simone) to the hygienist (Lianna), the dental technician and Dr. Faith. I recommend the whole practice for services.

Every thing was explained in advance. I had choices to make. The appointment lasted about an hour. The staff was polite and knew what they were doing.

Midwest dental (Dr Faith and her staff in Shawano) are a VERY NICE bunch of gals. I'm a big whimp and don't mind going in to see them. My husband also is a fan.

Dr. P-M even squeezed me in, though I didn't have an appointment as I had thought. That she made time for me showed that she cared about her patients...So nice! For the first time in my life, I believe I will be a regular at the dentist!

Am so glad I found Dr. Faith and her staff! These ladies are friendly, gentle, and create non-stressful atmosphere. They don't ask a million small-talk questions while your mouth is full, yet it's not awkward! Very efficient and caring. I highly recommend Midwest Dental of Shawano.

Always a good visit. Friendly knowledgeable staff makes every visit a pleasant time regardless of the reason for needing to go. I used to be scared and not go to the dentist at all but its been alot easier to go these past couple years when you trust the people working beyond the waiting room.

I had made an appointment last fall and lost my insurance days before my appointment so I called and cancelled my appointment. So now the pandemic hit and I have a horrible tooth ache. I email midwest dental about making an appointment. They email me back and say that at this time we are not accepting new patients. Sorry. So I wait.....last week I see an ad that Midwest Dental is opening back up so I email again about an appointment. A woman calls me and leaves a voicemail that I can call back to schedule an appointment. When I call, the woman tells me that she cant make an appointment for me because i was a no call no show last fall!!! I told her I lost my insurance and I called and cancelled. Her response was that I must have called the day before the appt and it still counts as a no call no show!!! So I have waited all this time for nothing!! Terrible customer service **Update** I had my top 2 wisdom teeth removed.
