Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.

The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

I've never been to a Dentist office where everyone is so nice and they go to all the extremes to make sure you're not in pain which is a plus in my book!!

Dr. Altemeemi and her hygienist Nagmat are wonderful at their jobs. Even though I still have angst when preparing for my appointment, I always feel at ease once I get there. I highly recommend this office and its great staff.

The Dr. and staff are amazing! They always make sure you understand what is going on with your teeth. Dr . always makes sure you are comfortable. Making appointments are easy and quick to get you in.

Even better experience the 2nd visit! Front desk man is so sweet and caring, dental assistants made my daughter feel safe and zero anxiety which is something moms need. Dentist is beyond words to me, caring, attentive and knows just how to have a child's mind at ease! Thank you for your work and hospitality! A great change for us as a new family to the community!

We love Midwest Dental in Rochelle! Dr. A. and her team are amazing. Everyone is always so welcoming and cheerful. They care about the comfort of their patients and the quality of the work. I recently had a filling replaced there, it was a pain free experience! Even the kids enjoy their visits. Cannot recommend this office and the team enough!

I was deathly afraid of going to the dentist after having a very bad experience 6 years ago. I finally went to Midwest Dental and am so glad i did! I wished i would have went sooner! The staff, the doctor, everyone was so nice and accomodating, i cant even stress how NICE Blaine, Maggie, Chance and Dr Altameemi are! While i still dont want to go to the dentist, i am not terrified and will return. I highly recommend Dr. Altameemi and the staff at Midwest Dental! If you are afraid of dentists, dont be. Go check them out!

The entire staff at Midwest Dental are friendly, polite, & knowledgeable. Midwest Dental continues to go above and beyond with their customer service. My older children have started the Invisaline process.
