Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

The new dentist, Dr. May is absolutely wonderful. He puts you at ease and spent time explaining what needed to be done in a way that I could understand and has a great sense of humor. Put me at ease.

Took my son in for a checkup. Saw Dr Delfs who said my son had an infection. Instead of doing anything about it she referred him to pediatric dentistry and said he should be seen there for all his care including check ups. Which would be fine but peds dentist has a 2 month waiting list. Am I just supposed to let this infection sit for 2 months because a family dentistry place can't take care of a dental infection?. Will not go back as long as she works there. Prior dentists they had were great. She is horrible.

Having multiple infections in my mouth, all my teeth decaying, missing multiple teeth already, i wanted to get dentures. I can't eat solid foods. The dentist recommended trying to save the teeth. Told the dentist i didn't have the time or money, and was told to get a job, and to get insurance. This was the worst interaction I've ever had with a dentist.

Not happy at all. Had a 1:30 pm appointment scheduled for my daughter. I arrived at 1:20 pm to doors locked and a sign saying closed for lunch. Tried to call phones off the hook for lunch. Thought maybe I had written appointment down wrong so came home to try to call when they got back from lunch. Called and found out nope they came out to unlock doors at 1:30 pm for me. That doesn't help me. I took half the day off for this appointment. Wouldn't take blame told me too bad. Reschedule it for next day. Very disappointed in how they handled everything.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shah and his team. I've only been going to see them since the beginning of the year, but it feels like I've been going there my whole life - that's how comfortable they make you feel! Nobody enjoys going to the dentist, but I always find myself laughing the entire time I'm there which completely takes my mind off of how unpleasant it may be to get my teeth worked on, lol! Recently I went in there after having a very bad morning (I had just lost my cat of 13 years) and I was having a really hard time keeping it together as I was just so sad. It was one of those where every "hi how are you today" just completely broke me to tears. Dr. Shah and his assistant were so quick to not just comfort me, but give me a moment to regroup and let me know it was a safe place to just let it all out for a moment. I can't tell you how much that meant to have people who have only known me for a short time be so caring and understanding. I would definitely recommend Dr. Shah and Midwest Dental. A great place to go!

I had a great experience! I was made to believe for years that my wisdom teeth had to be surgically extracted. I went to Midwest Dental yesterday for pain in my mouth and he took it out right then and there! I was so relieved I may or may not have shed a few tears :) I have an appointment to have my other one removed next week. He was kind, he consistently asked if I was in pain and if I was okay. The ladies assisting him were fantastic as well! I look forward to going back and I appreciate that he did not just tell me he couldn't help me like my previous dentist had done. Friendly, welcoming, helpful, and gets the job done! Thank you Midwest Dental!

Excellent service with Dr. Shah. He is the best dentist I ever had. 2 crowns. Meticulous with his work and details for excellence. Very friendly and personal. Making sure you are pain free. The assistants were excellent as well. So happy he is in Pekin.

My hygienist was Becky and she was awesome! I briefly met Dr. Ibrahim and he seems knowledgeable and we put together a cleaning schedule. The lobby and office were clean and I was welcomed promptly. I can't speak on billing yet since I just had my visit on 4/4/2022. I hope all goes well with that. At this time I am very happy with Midwest Dental.

If they can't get your billing correct with your insurance company and have your bills sent to collections, then why would you trust them to work on your teeth? Highly don't recommend. They put zero effort into completing their job.
