Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Excellent people and service. Very professional, warm and caring which I've never seen to this degree in a dental office before. They don't try to hard sell you on services or make you feel bad about not having treatment done in the past, which is refreshing these days. I felt like I was part of their family and highly recommend them as a team to anyone looking. The dental assistants, hygienists, dentist and front desk are all professional, friendly, approachable and compassionate!. Everyone was so welcoming.

Jen, the assistant, has such a wide experience with the dental operations. I have always been amazed at how much she knows and does before and after the Dr. does the main part. Very satisfied!

Small but absolutely wonderful staff at this site. The dentist is wonderful... thank you Dt. Kennedy. As well as the hygienists, front desk... everyone is having a good time at Midwest Dental. Try them! I assure you won't be disappointed.

I had a very positive experience on my first visit. My hygienist, Michelle, was the best, and the receptionist was accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The dentist was thorough and knowledgeable. I have scheduled future appointments and would highly recommend.

I called for an appointment for a loose tooth to be checked out. First time patient as this place took my insurance. The dental hygienist poked around my mouth telling me how bad my previous dentist was. They referred me to a dentist who doesn't take insurance to have all my teeth removed. The next day my tooth fell out. (It wasn't that loose just slightly before going to see these people) So I made an appointment to see about getting the tooth added to my partial. The dental hygienist flat out denied what she did affected my tooth, and suggested I "be compassionate" toward them. The dentist came in and said "I told you my treatment plan. And "frankly, it's not my problem" that I can't afford to pay cash for her recommendation. How insulting. I will NEVER recommend this place, as they lack compassion, customer service skills and make the problem worse.

Hands down one of the best experiences at a dental office. From my first visit, to the second they were efficient with time, yet paid particular detail to my needs. They made sure the entire procedure was painless and they were thoughtful about the work they were doing. Everyone on staff that I worked with were friendly and made the overall exeprience and atmosphere anazing. If you have those gitters about going to the dentist, maybe you should check out Midwest! The work is not completely done yet, but I am beyond satisfied with the work this far! Thank you Midwest team!

Dissatisfied and Disappointed... I lost a filling and couldn't get into my regular Midwest Dental Location for a week due to the holiday. I made the appointment just in case I could not get in sooner at a different location. I then called Midwest Onalaska and they told me they could get me in next day. I made the appointment in Onalaska and before I canceled the appointment at my preferred location I called back and specifically asked if they would be able to fix the filling during the appointment. I asked this because I did not want to cancel my appointment at the other location if they were not going to be able to accomodate me. I was told as long as I did not need anything extensive (a crown) they would be able to fix it. I went to the appointment had X Rays and an Exam and was told they did not have time and could do it in the next few weeks....... I would not have wasted my time, money, or canceled my appointment (at the other location that was only a few days away) if this was the case and I made this clear when I made this appointment. I feel like I was tricked just so they could do the XRAY and Exam instead of my preferred location. The dentist was not the least bit concerned when I made him aware of what I was told on the phone. I will be going to a different Midwest Location for all my future needs and I suggest you do the same. The only bright side is the hygienist who took me back / helped me was very nice and apologetic for the situation even though it was not her fault. She even offered to do what she could to make it easier for me to get the work done at my preferred location.

Midwest Dental Onalaska has an amazing staff. Growing up I had some not very nice dentists and I was so relieved that they were very nice no matter how bad my teeth were when I first got in.
