Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

The staff is great. I chipped a tooth on Friday and they had a appointment scheduled 8. AM Monday morning. It was quick and painless.

The staff is great! always friendly and accommodating. My 3 kids absolutely love going to this dental office specifically!! That's saying a lot for a 9,10,and 11 year old. They look forward to their dental appts. they no longer have anxiety anymore ever since we started coming here. You can't go wrong with this office!! I HIGHLY recommend :) :) :)

I really enjoy my hygienist She does a very wonderful and thorough job and is very friendly! I also enjoy taking with Sue the receptionist, and helps me with whatever I need!

Midwest Dental of Mondovi tortured me for 6 hours. My excruciating tooth pain started bright and early on sunday morning, lasted all day and did not allow me even a moment of sleep that night. At 9 am the next morning I called Midwest dental desperate for any kind of relief. I explained to the receptionist that I was in the office a few weeks prior with the same exact issue but that the dental surgeon they had referred me to had a 2 1/2 month waiting list due to the pandemic. Because nobody had actually treated the cause of my tooth abscess, my infection came roaring back. All I needed was more antibiotics and something, ANYTHING for my pain. I asked the receptionist whether I needed to make an appointment (she offered one for noon) or if the dentist could just send prescriptions to the pharmancy as he had already seen me for this exact issue. The receptionist said she would talk to the dentist and call me right back with an answer. Two agonizing hours passed and I hadn't heard anything. Desperate for relief, I went to Midwest Dental in person. There, the receptionist told me that they had had a busy morning and she hadn't had a chance to talk to him, but that he would be done with his current patient soon and that she would call me as soon as she found out. At this point, I've been in some of the worst pain of my life for 30+ hours. Needless to say, I was extremely frustrated, but I'm reasonable and there's not like there was much I could do about it anyway, so again I waited. Three more excruciating hours go by with no word. At this point I'm at my wits end, so again I went back to midwest dental seeking for any compassion they had. I found none. Inside, the receptionist told me that the dentist had left for the day and that she had not bothered to speak to him about helping me with my nigh unbearable pain. Maybe she thought I was pill-popping junky looking to get his next score? I have no idea. So I did what I should have done 6 hours prior, had I known what would transpire. I went to urgent care. I urge everyone to spend their money somewhere that has compassionate employees, not Midwest Dental.

Dr Kayla is very nice and makes the experience fun and warm with her personality. She does a great job to make the patient feel comfortable and explains things very well. Bailey was excellent as well and exemplifies the same customer respect.

The team at Midwest Dental in Mondovi is second to none. Dr Schreiner and all her help from assistants to the receptionists at the front desk truly care about their patients and do everything they can to make your visit easy as can be and that everything is done the way it should be. They show concern if you are having a problem and follow up daily to make sure everything is good during your procedures and even after you procedures are done. All I can say is "Thank You" to Dr Schreiner and all the staff at Midwest Dental in Mondovi.

Great people, great atmosphere. Been going there recently after not seeing a dentist for a few years. Even though I need a lot of work done, they are professional about the issues and don't ridicule you. They definitely have your concerns and oral health in mind. I would recommend for sure.

Excellent service, state of the art equipment. Virtually no wait thanks to organization. Hygenist was friendly and offered me pain numbing when my eyes started to water, knowledgeable enough and skilled to get the tarter build up from under my gums. She explained it like getting a sliver out which is why it was painful. I had gingivitis a couple of weeks ago but following their instructions for flossing and actually starting to floss combined with the use of mouthwash its all gone (received mouthwash, toothbrush, and two floss boxes). She was even able to buff a stain out of one my front teeth.
