Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

Def a BIG 10! I really appreciated their flexibility! I'd cracked a molar the night before (pustachios) and it was wiggly and very painful. I wasn't expecting an affirmative response when I asked if they could squeeze me in. It was a Monday after all, But they did it! They got me in and Dr Frye pulled the poor tooth right out! They were really accommodaing. FYI: To clarfy: The neccessary steps we mandatory but I'd prefer not seeing Dr Frye , in the office anyway, on my Birthday next year. Just want to be clear

I got a return call 5 days after a dental emergency. Called office twice and left message, then called emergency phone number provided in message. Apparently the dentist that was on call for such emergencies no longer works there. When they finally contacted me not even a shallow I'm sorry. Turnover...

Nicolle seemed to be "tuned up", didn't get a Hello, or Hi? She TOLD me to put on a mask, many other ways to ASK??? As I was waiting, I noticed she wasn't wearing it properly by not covering her nose. She could've been a little more rude but not by much. I am seriously considering going somewhere else for a Dentist...

I had a tooth that was causing pain over weekend, I called Monday and the staff did a great job getting me in. Dr Fry did a excellent job explaining my options and got to work and fixed the problem. Thank you!

I had not seen a dentist in years. Lost an old filling and part of a tooth. Dr. Fry recommended that the remaining tooth be extracted. He explained the whole procedure, made me feel comfortable. The extraction was pretty painless..I was able to drive home in less than an hours time. No swelling..bleeding quit within a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend this dental office to anyone. Thank you Dr. Fry!

My daughter had a pretty bad "tooth" accident recently. The Midwest Dental staff in Chatfield has been so flexible and accommodating with my daughter's emergency situation. Dr. Fry was an absolute Rockstar. He was so helpful on the phone when my daughter had her accident and he used some pretty creative problem skills to help temporarily splint her damaged teeth.
