Summer is the time for outdoor sports and you can protect your teeth, cheeks, gums and lips with a low-cost mouth guard. It could save you from a knocked out or chipped tooth, and it will prevent you from grinding your teeth during the big game.
No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

All the staff is so friendly, & helpful. When a schedule change is needed they try to accommodate you as much as possible. The dentist is very proficient, puts you at ease, takes his time, & is personable. The hygienists are very nice and good at what they do. I'd recommend all the staff for the great work they do!

Had a very good experience with Midwest Dental as a first-time patient with an urgent problem. After a little kerfuffle getting scheduled, was able to see Dr. Syed that same morning, who resolved the problem, and who was quite kind and patient. Office manager was very helpful with insurance; dental assistant was sweet and swift with the X-rays; altogether a pleasant, professional, personable interaction with this dental group. Thanks!

Great experience i recently joined this dentist and seen them twice. Once for filling replacement and cleaning. Great dentist, great staff. Just wish I would have switched sooner!

I took my 3 and 5 year old girls here for the first time and we had a phenomenal experience. We got appointments the same day we called and we welcomed with smiling faces from all the staff. They were so patient, kind and welcoming with my children and made them feel at ease by explaining everything they were going to do beforehand. They were giggling the whole time and left saying "I love the dentist!" Thank you for making it such a fun and positive experience - my girls are already looking forward to coming back in 6 months for their next dental cleanings!

It's a really nice office, spotless and up to date. The assistant explained what was happening all the way through. The dentist Dr Syed was friendly, thorough and informative. It was a great experience!

I'm a current customer with Midwest dental and wanted to give a quick Thank You to the team!! Everyone I've interacted with at Midwest dental (near Walmart Burlington WI) is consistently pleasant and willing to get the job done happily. I recently had one of my crowns pulled off and had a gapping hole in my smile. They squeezed me in next day and the team had my smile repaired and I was on my way in less than 20 minutes.
