No really, just dont. Weve all seen someone open a bottle with their teeth. An amazing feat? Nope, but a great way to cause micro fractures in your teeth. Using your teeth to rip open potato chip bags or to crush ice are also no nos.
The short answer is no. You most likely cannot sunburn your teeth. Shwew! Your lips on the other hand can sunburn. In fact, your lips might be the most susceptible to sunburn. Its important not to rely on regular sunscreen to protect your lips, choose a lip balm with a minimum of SPF 15. It is designed for your lips, and it will stick better. And just like with sunscreen, remember to reapply it every couple hours.
There are lots of reasons to smile all summer long. Evidence suggests that smiling reduces stress and helps your heart. So show those teeth! Brush twice a day, floss daily and smile big. You'll feel better when you do.

I finally took the leap and went there. First dentist in 10 years and they were great on not judging me haha. Very nice staff, worked with my insurance and explained what needs to be done to get my smile back! Surprisingly cheaper than Aspen. Got seen within 2 days of calling and made next appointment 2 days later! I do need a lot of work done, but they broke it down as to how I could do things in steps. I would recommend this office for sure!

Like I imagine many people do, I hate going to the dentist, but heck if these people don't make it so much better. They're so friendly, so kind, and so transparent about explaining everything they're doing--I spent all of my childhood and young adulthood having no idea what the purpose of most of the poking and scraping was, and you'd be surprised how much less stressful it is being at Midwest Dental just because they explain things so clearly and thoroughly. Thank you guys for making me feel safer and less scared at the dentist.

My daughter had an implant bridge placed and she is so pleased with the work Dr Smith has done! She smiles more ( bridge is upper front teeth)as she has more confidence -Dr Smith is the Best! The team at Midwest Dental Brookfield is Great!

Have had major dental work done at this location. Staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. Current dds. Is Dr. Christine Smith. Have gone through 3 crown procedures with 3 different dentists, and she is by far the best. Meticulous, professional, and exacting. Very good at her job.

Do not recommend, called to schedule a new appointment and was told I would have to pay out of pocket for a new exam even though I just had one at another office this past Friday and could have had records sent?????

Kelly who greets everyone with such a great attitude really helps lower your anxiety about going to the dentist. Quality care from the hygienist and dentist, they talk through suggestions for better oral health. Highly recommend this office and staff.

Everything went so well from scheduling my appointment, the receptionist was so nice and friendly but yet helpful! I was able to get in same day thank god they eventually sent me to a specialist that was able to do my root canal very well and to come back and get crowns done back at Midwest! I have never felt so comfortable or just valued and cared for. Truly recommend this place for dentistry !

1st time I went the lady at the front desk was in the back talking so I had to wait 15 minutes until she came back so I could hand in the form so I could finally leave. 2nd time I went they wouldn't even work on me because they said they needed an hour for my pre-med to be in me before they start ( which no one ever said or let me know at any point) and the bottle, and the doctor prescribing it both said 30 minutes / a half hour which I did. So basically I took antibiotics 4 nothing... thanks Dr. Christine smith & Midwest dental...lol smh... Never been anywhere so unprofessional as this place.

FYI: the majority of the positive reviews are for a previous dentist at this location. I saw Dr. Cristine Smith who is the current dentist. TL;DR inexperienced staff who shaved down one of my teeth so much so that I now need a crown. I went in for a regular cleaning and was told I have a cavity. No problem. I got the cavity filled and my tooth was still feeling sensitive a few weeks afterward. I called the office and they suggested I come in to get it adjusted because I was likely biting down on the filling and bruising my tooth. I got the adjustment and was still feeling the sensitivity a month later. At the second adjustment, Dr Smith ground almost all of the enamel off of my tooth because she insisted that the tooth was getting bruised by the one below it. She then referred me to get a root canal. Months later, the tooth is still sensitive to biting, heat and cold. The whole situation felt off to me and the Dr. never explained why she needed to grind my tooth down so far down when it wasn't like that before I got the filling. I ended up going to another dentist to get a second opinion and they were appalled that she had ground that much enamel off of my tooth. The new dentist said I don't need a root canal but I do need a crown on my tooth to replace the enamel that's now gone. Very frustrated with how this dentist office operates; the entire staff seems under-trained and tries to make up for it by being overly friendly and bubbly.. makes me very uncomfortable.
